git good likely intelligence issue ahead

Amazing game!!! i love my game crashing every 5 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an amazing metroidvania for those who can endure cryptic puzzled and troll traps (or even enjoy them); the puzzles get progressively hard, and you get an amazing feeling when you figure something out without a guide. The controls can take some time to get used to, specially the jumping momentum, but I didn't find them as bad as some say. The soundtrack and atmosphere are amazing and will help you enjoy exploring those ruins and give you determination to finish this game. This is one of a kind game that is pretty hard to describe without playing, it is not for everyone, but everyone I know that likes this game is very passionate about it (myself included).

How have I never reviewed this? It's easily one of my favorite games EVER made. There is a free original version with an English translation you can try for a taste, but this remake is truly worthy. This game will absolutely chew you up and spit you out in a way Dark Souls could only dream of and is far longer with much more of a focus on a massive amount of unbelievably clever and unique puzzles throughout a massive "Metroidvania"-ish labyrinth, though there's plenty of very challenging combat as well. But no video game I've EVER played -- and mind you, I've played THOUSANDS of games over 30+ years -- has ever matched the amount of sheer satisfaction I've felt solving La-Mulana's puzzles and challenges without looking up spoilers. [spoiler](Except exactly twice; once to make sure I was right about an assumption regarding arguably the toughest puzzle in the game, and once more involving a solution where you press an otherwise basically-unused button that had me absolutely stumped for many many hours lol)...[/spoiler] Also, absolutely some of the best classic-style (though not quite 'chiptune' in the case of this remake) game music I have *EVER* heard. Fearless Challenger, Grand History, Giants' Cry, Sky Tower, GIGA-MAGMA, M.U., Song of Curry, Death Game, Treasure Sealed Off and *EVERY* boss theme... man. Just... superb beyond words. And if you truly get into it and push yourself, be patient and solve as much as you possibly can on your own, keep retracing steps and trying new ideas, you will absolutely be met with some of the coolest, most breathtaking 'wow' moments and realizations you could imagine from a video game. Yes, from a 2d pixel-based video game. I truly truly truly believe this is one of the all-time greats of the entire video game medium and deserves to be so much more well-known and appreciated. Don't be scared off too fast if it seems too hard, don't be put off too early by the 'stiff' controls... just push on bit by bit, and see if you don't start agreeing after more and more bits of hard-earned progress and I-did-not-see-that-coming events.

This is an amazing game, and in every corner there's a secret. You really feel like you are uncovering an amazing treasure. This feels great until you get stuck. The late puzzles are all moon logic. And even after manually mapping all the areas i discovered, and writing down all the tombstones to study, I still feel stuck. The logic is so, so complicated it is kind of insulting. I just want to continue. I just want to play the game. But even after the time I took to respect this game and not using any guides, I am still getting nowhere. I am angry, I feel frustrated. This game is amateur game design, which does not respect the player or their time. If you still want to give it a shot, get it on discount.
