I don't like the original price tag despite it's short story on hello abyss but the other is hardest the most in deep abyss don't buy it, wait till sale... if they plan on developing Made in abyss 2 make the game easier where you can just focus on story instead of worrying hunger and weight. >:(

I love the anime but this game was not designed by gamers. The systems are terribly implemented, durability is too harsh, lootable items are too frequently generated for max carry weight, too many enemies (birds especially) spawn at a time for the weapon durability to make any sense...etc I stopped playing by the seeker base in the 2nd level. Probably early but I felt like I was playing Final Fantasy 8 again and I couldn't put myself through another bad game.

Binary Star is rough around the edges and far from a perfect gaming experience. It is however, the only Made in Abyss game. By default its both the best and worst game in the franchise. If you're like me, a die hard fan of MiA; then yes, this game is great filler content. If not a fan of MiA, its hard to recommend this game.

Extremely fun exploration game. It's definitely brutal in some areas (ahem... third layer) but never to the point where I felt like I was getting punished for things that weren't my fault, like not bringing enough materials with me or being careless around strong enemies. I was expecting way more bugs with how harsh the reviews are, but none of them significantly hindered my experience. Honestly, the first layer seems the worst regarding bugs since an enemy spawns every time you turn around; this is much less prevalent in the deeper layers. But I definitely recommend this game if you're a fan of MIA. The music is amazing too and really adds to the atmosphere.

this is good game (when is on sale) it has some things that may make a non enjoyable experience, such as the infinite amount of monsters but it is a good game, just need to fix things here and there i hope if they make a sequel to this game they could improve some aspects

The first 5 hours is a tutorial level of sorts, narratively kinda cheesy and awkward, but functional in terms of teaching game mechanics. The "real" game starts in a second campaign called "Deep in Abyss", which is suprisingly fun. It focuses on exploration and crafting, and forces the player to be careful and strategic as they move through the abyss. The art style is cutsey and relaxing, making for this really interesting mix of wonder, comfort, and tension.

Ozen is so cute if only she could throw me down the stairs and beat me to death with a frying pan until I'm all blood and tears
