Really good port, new animations and movements. Downside, you cant rebind form arrows to WASD so you must download powertoys. But still, im very happy with the game!

I love this game so much. Takes me back to the good old days when couch coop games used to be super fun. I'd give anything to go back in time to 1995 and play this with my brother. A shame however that classic music has been gated behind a difficult "beat this game without using continues" condition ;-( 10/10 game.

I'm not good at retro action, and this game feels a lot harder than Ninja Saviours (this dev's beat'em up), but it passes my test for a fun game: When I die in the game and have to restart, am I still having fun? YES.
The two characters they add in this version, a fat lady and a drone/dog team, seem to be overpowered compared to the standard two characters, and playing as the dog made it a lot more fun for me to get into the game. He can move while shooting, and he moves fast, but the dog itself and the drone sort of control separately so you have to get used to it.
The controls/mechanics generally feel finicky in this game, and I know it isn't a bug or glitch, I'm just not getting it yet. This is a "gallery shooter" which is a subgenre that's not like anything else, so there's definitely a learning curve.
I think the difficulty doesn't change the content of the levels very much, but harder modes have more levels and less lives. And one life in this game = one HIT, so play on easy mode so you have more chances to get through a level. But once you beat a level, if you game over you restart from where you died, and you won't lose your overall progress.
Beating the final boss is still challenging even if you have to retry 50 times to reach him.
