Hundreds, if not more than a 1k hours in this ship, I´m very close. Now I can say you can´t go wrong here.

The framework for the most indepth study simulations of military aircraft and helicopters there is. Bar none.
BUT Eagle Dynamics as owners of the entire DCS franchise needs to take responsibility for sorting out the situation with RAZBAM. Who's originally to blames is irrelevant, this matter negatively impacts Eagle Dynamics public image, and therefore their ability to conduct business. The entire abandonware-situation over this module undermines the confidence of potential buyers, both current and future. Potential buyers of 3rd party modules will now think twice before making the purchase. DCS caters to a niche audience that pay a premium for good modules. Loss of even part of this audience will surely reflect negatively on Eagle Dynamics bottom line and future ability to support and develop the sim further.
EDIT 130825: Reading that RAZBAM's modules will no longer be supported and stop working in the near future. This is sad because the AV8N Harrier is a rather unique addition to DCS World with it's VTOL capability and eclectic mixture of weapons and systems. Also, from my point of view I believe that aircraft from roughly 1980 to 2000 are among the most popular modules, and the loss of even one will be felt in the community. I don't own the other RAZBAM modules, but imagine that their owners will miss them too.
What is more concerning is the increasing lack in confidence of DCS as a simulator ecosystem. First the Hawk, now 4 more modules that will stop working. Why should we buy ANYTHING from 3.rd party developers if they can become unsupported at the drop of a hat? If this loss of confidence leads to the decline of DCS World, why should we buy anything from ED?

As someone still learning the flight and JESTER AI mechanics, so far it is a solid 8.5/10, it has speed, it has fuel capacity, it has an AI RIO, so far it has been incredibly easy to learn. The only downsides so far is that you need to disable the pilot model to start up the jet, and the JESTER AI system is kinda janky, not locking aircraft in radar scope and not telling me if they are friend or foe. For as much as I love this plane, I just can't recommend buying it without a sale going on, as while it is in depth, I just don't think it is worth $80 USD without a supercarrier bundled in.

I picked up the f-14 a few months ago and it is by far one of the most fun modules to play in the game purely due to how versatile it can be:
Jester AI, although he has a lick of the 'tism he has the greatest eyes in the game this guy has saved my ass hundreds of times in a dogfight cuz this guy can see through clouds and give fairly accurate calls every mfing time.
You can land on carriers, drop laser guided bombs and snipe bombers from like 80 miles away. It has everything. The addition of a RIO makes the module great for friends and provides a second learning aspect to the aircraft not just flying but also becoming the pilot's personal receptionist.
10/10 aircraft
best module in the game
