Very good and mostly authentic (although the noise, rattling and jerking are little like the actual thing). Recommended.

First scenario I tried does not work. The instruction was to drop off 4 rescued cars which i did, but the software said I didn't. I'm sorry but this is just lack of basic software quality control by the programmers and companies should not be charging money for software that has not been thoroughly checked and is shown to work. Only purchase if you are looking to run Workshop scenarios which do generally work.

this route is pretty good for what you are getting which is the entire IOW network from shanklin to ryde and also the Steam railway from smallbrook to wotton with an small 0-4-0 tank engine copied from the falmouth branch with terrible sounds
on the mainline you get the class 483 which is ok sounds are awful and the run sounds are from ap sound packs which is fine but dont like driving it
its nice we have the entire network on the isle of wight however would have liked an brand new loco for the steam railway like the ivatt 2MT Tank engine or admas 02 tank

Another oldie but a real treat from my early days of Railworks. Again, a prime example of what we SHOULD be seeing now, and don't. A great route, not overly long, but well detailed with plenty of operations. Route-specific items made for the route, the Class 483 and the little 040T. Add in some other packs to spice up the heritage railway, and you can have hours of fun on this old route. It really has stood up to time well. Worth every penny.

After all these years still a timeless and unique classic.
Granted, the little saddle tank engine only produces sound when the regulator is open or the blower is running, both stationary and in motion. Can't seem to find a third party patch for that sadly.
Apart from this sound issue it's still worth it's current price and assets from the route are often needed for third party routes, both freeware and payware, so I still recommend getting it in 2023.

One of the best DLC's in Train Simulator. Really cheap, has many engaging scenarios covering many different weathers and incidents and is a lovely route. The 483 train can be slightly annoying to drive but apart from that it is incredible and I would highly recommend it!

This route is very nicely done and comes with lots of senarios. the tube stock is a bit basic but that means it not too hard to use meaning its a good train for a begginer like me, The interior of the tube is nice apart from the man that looks like a cardboard cutout. the steam engine is very good its not to hard to use like other bigger steam engines. the senarios are very good and you won't run out of them like newer route dlc's. I recomend this dlc to begginers.

A perfect route for beginners in train simulator where you get to operate all three systems of railroading: steam electric and diesel. There a good amount of lines that are in the same "beginner's" category (in my opinion).

Isle of Wight surprised me. It is quaint and loaded with charm. It is a very short route and with it you get some slow locos but that's ok. The little steam engine the "Invicible" is cute in it's own way. It can barely chug past 20mph but that's ok. It obviously wasn't built to do any better and it gets the job done. Then you have the Class 483 which looks and feels old but that is the point. This route and the locos are supposed to appear old fashioned because in real life they are. The landscape is beautiful. The Ryde Pier station is awesome. Seeing the island from it gives you this feeling of wonder and amazement. Heading from Ryde down to Shanklin is better suited for the 483 because of the bigger speed limits and the shorter line from Smallbrook to Wooton is clearly suited for the Invicible. The towns are highly detailed and look as great at night than during the day. Between them is farmland all the way to the horizon. I love it. If you care for an old fashioned ride and don't mind taking it slow then Isle of Wight is perfect.
