When I lived in Scotland my two closest train stations, Paisley and Hillington feature in this route and it’s the only route they feature in as far as I know. This doesn’t stop me from saying this is the worse route in TS, Thompson interactive have released some awesome routes and may even be the best route builders in TS but this must have been one of their first, if you stay in cab it’s not to bad but as soon as you go outside and see how undetailed the route is outside of the tracks, it looks awful with green roads and no depth to the scenery. Only positive is the 380 train is nice and if scenario packs used it more then I would recommend the route to get the 380 as the route with the train costs the same as the train dlc by itself.

This route is controversial to say the least, and it doesn't take long to see why: Route: - Incomplete and inaccurate scenery and buildings - Incredibly short route + Good for a quick drive and for basic route knowledge 380: - Wrong sounds, eg doors - Wrong max unit speed (125 instead of 100?!) - Inaccurate QD consists, eg no 3 car but a 9 car?! + Adds realism for other routes, and is included with this route Overall - even though I bought this on sale at £6.49, I still feel ripped off. It lacks accuracy, detail and has so many fundamental errors. It either needs a major revamp (eg extension to Gourock, Wemyss Bay) or discontinued.

Bland scenery and incorrect at most times. Nothing at all around glasgow central station, not even a road or a building. The 380 is meh at best, with robotic sounds and no passenger view.

For this cost the route is too short while featuring only 1 type of train... While the map is well made, it's like 8 miles in total with 5 stations. Do.not reccomend.

380 desperately needs an enhancement pack as this stupidly was made & put out before the 380s had began full service (December 2010) Route itsself is alright aside from lack of scenery so only get this when its onsale as it's worth like £3

Only got this cheap in the sale as it's essential for a third-party expanded/merged route I want. Totally not worth it on it's own. The rolling stock is awful. The scenery is awful. Easily the laziest, most half-assed, and awful DLC for TS.

Not worth it even on the £3 sale. Genuinely one of the few things I have ever returned. First of all the route is very short. Nothing particularly surprising about that, it's short in real life. Also it's from 2010, so of course the texture quality isn't going to be great either. The real problem is it just doesn't work, The combination of nearly useless lights and no TPWS support on the 380 means you won't see a signal even if you're looking for it so expect to memorise the route so you don't run reds (I checked the manual, nothing in there about it) and one of the scenarios didn't even load when I tried it. I'm expecting so little and it still failed.

It's amazing how a change in price can change a mind... Originally, I thought this route was definetly not worth its original price of £25 - after all, only 1 train & a fairly short drive doesn't seem that promising. But when it came down to £15, I'll admit I was intrigued (particularly when I heard that the Class 380 stand-alone pack came with it). So, I bought it during a sale & boy was I surprised. For the price I got it (£6 I believe + 380 pack & that's nearly £27 of content - for just £6 bargain!), I found this route to be a nice little route. OK, scenery's a bit basic, but hey. At least it ensure that all the scenarios work smoothly, especially for those with less powerful computers. The 380's alright as well (little advice, get the AP Soundpack. You can thank me later) - drives well, is nicely modelled & I like the scrolling text on the destination boards. It's a nice little drive as well - I find that a simple out & back run is ideal if you just want something quick & easy. I do have one complaint however - the use of the Kuju European Asset Pack. Now, I wouldn't mind it being included with such routes as London-Brighton or the GEML for variety, but the inclusion of it here is a bit... redundant. I mean, BR 37's in the 2010's? What about the DB one included with Edinbrugh to Glasgow & the Portsmouth Direct Line? And FGW HSTs? Really? But apart from that, I think this route is quite underappreciated. I think it's a fairly nice drive, with a fairly nice train - it's fairly nice overall. There are routes that are more value for you money, but coming from someone who usually only buys TS content in a sale, this is a perfect example. Next Steam Sale, give it a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised too.

Let me start off with two good things. 1) Class 380 included with it 2) Modern Day Glasgow Central Station Now the the bad.... 1) WAY to short 2) Drivers eye view was the WORST choice 3) Lack of Portals for scenario creators I give this a 3/17

SO NOT WORTH THE MONEY Save your money and don't bother buying this 10 mile stretch of track that you can drive in 15 minutes. The 380 is not a nice train to drive either. If you want a route that features Glasgow go got the Edinburgh-Glasgow route, that's more worth the money than what this is. Better yet go get the Western Lines of Scotland, that's a much better and way long route and has some stunning scenery, this one looks like it was a rush job for someone one evening.
