The Fort Kent to Eagle Lake Route came out in 2010 and even though it is an old route it is still a great one to play. This is not like a long freight route where you make long runs, this route is mainly about switching. You will sort out cars in the yard and make local pickups and deliveries between Fort Kent and Eagle Lake. The scenery is pretty good. This route was set around the state of Maine,USA. I really recomend this route if you enjoy switching cars and seeing a lot of trees. This is a good route to buy, on sale or not on sale.

To start off, this is an excellent little route. For being only 20 miles long, there is so much to see. The scenery is just breathtaking. You are surrounded by hills and forests of lush, green trees and shrubs, as well as a huge lake. This route is excellent for making point A to point B runs, but is also great for switching as there are multiple industries and spurs throughout the route. There are 20 standard scenarios included with the route using the Union Pacific SD40-2 that range from switching to inter-town locals, which make you feel like you have accomplished a day's work. This route also comes with the Canadian National SD40-2 and ES44DC, which both include the default Kuju SD40-2 sounds. The route does include some old Kuju Rail Simulator assets, which seem a bit outdated, but do not take away from the experience. For all this route has to offer, I believe it is definitely worth the $20. I give the Fort Kent to Eagle Lake Route Add-On a 9.8/10.

This is a classic route that has aged really well. It's one of the first American DLC available for Railworks, and is well worth it today. It is scenic, with a short point A to point B run, and plenty of switching oportunities to make great use of smaller diesels. I personally LOVE using the Machine Rail CN G12 on it, it fits in so well. Also do scenarios with their RS3s.

Only standard scenarios. No career. Everything is working fine. This is a slow pace route, max speed is 35 mph on main track, 15 mph on yards, and just when you're out of fort kent, it will be 20 to 30 mph. There is one mission of long heavy hauling.

Classic stuff. The scenarios are found in the listview, so don't click Loco/Route selection, just scroll down the unfiltered list in the Standard tab. The ScenarioProperties.xml format changed a long time ago to include the Loco name of the player/ai consists. These don't have it so that's why they don't appear in the filters. There is a "black wall of darkness" polygon error due to incorrect preloading of the road traffic and a bug in the ScaleRail RoadNetwork files. I have provided patches on the DTG forums. If you want to fix the Black Walls bug yourself (only appears if you own Isle of Wight DLC), open the Route in the World editor, click the object set filter (blue cube with orange arrow) and in the right flyout tick the left of the three checkboxes at RSDL\IslandLine. This makes sure the traffic models are preloaded correctly.

A beautiful route. The author improved again compared to his previous installments. All trees are 2D, skip if that annoys you, but the density is so excessive, that it allows really nice photos & immersion. Gone are the oversized treetop foliage, replaced by nice 3D. There are plenty of other details: cars in crossings, lots of people, talking to each other, taking a break while walking a dog... Just well done. The scenery is also pretty versatile: town, forest, riverside, lakeside. Most scenarios involve dynamic weather. As far as my research got me, Maine is too much an outlier for Class 1 mainlines, but there is some through traffic in the area (as the Lac Megantic story suggests). The route plays well as a local branchline service as well as a great place to photoshoot some trains from elsewhere. CP, CN, CSX, NS could be seen around here. The actual railroad operating here was using F7, F9 and GP38 locomotives. Through traffic could involve anything including older Dash 7s. Aerial images suggest wood (Centerbeam & hoppers like Alaska or SD45) and tanker services, 30+ cars easily. The QD is straightforward end to end, but it's enough, as it takes roughly 30-45 minutes, depending on speed. The scenarios are a bit repetitive eventually, but it's okay. Workshop scenarios require unavailable content. There are some graphical glitches, but overall it's forgiveable. Also the coal cars have a tendency to split, a standard game issue. Can avoid that by going a wee bit slower.

Fort Kent to Eagle Lake is apparently an older edition that no longer plays on TS 2016. What I mean by that is the only route you can play is the Free Roam route, since none of the 20 scenarios appear to show on the Standard route display. I clicked the button to ask for a refund. Don't need a route I cannot play. RW_Tools does show the scenarios and so does TS 2016 editor, but I don't want to play in the editor. Tried to click the refund button when searching customer service and get a message that I don't have this game, but right across the top of my screen it says train Simulator: Fort Kent to Eagle Lake Route Add-on is already in your Steam library. Go figger.

Nice small route in Maine country side. Highly recommended. 20 excellent scenarios will get you busy for quite a long time. There are 16 more scenarios available in expansion pack for this route on author's official site. This time you will be driving SD40-2 in Canadian National paint. Recommended enhancements for this route: - AP Weather 2.0 - HR 3DTrains sprites (Official site is down but I believe you can still get it somewhere in inet) - SS SD40-2 UP or RRMods GP40-2 UP If you dont have these locos at least get SS 16-645E3 Enhancement Pack. You will have completely new experience with standard Kuji SD40-2. Also I do not recomment drive more then 25mph anywhere on this route and no more then 10-15mph in the yards as the railway is old and twisty. https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198275438933/screenshot/2444969631068954446/ https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198275438933/screenshot/2444969631066986080/

Another All Aboard classic! A fantastic little route that I still enjoy playing today. Very picturesque with plenty of attention to detail that you can tell has been a labour of love for the creator. I bought this at half price during a Steam Sale and have enjoyed playing all 20 scenarios. Highly recommended! For those who are having trouble finding the Standard Scenarios (as did I), please note that something changed in TS2016 which stopped them from showing up the usual way when searching under the actual Route itself. If you’re having trouble finding the Standard scenarios you should now: Go to the ‘Standard’ Tab, deselect the ‘Loco’ and/or the ‘Route’ filters so that a complete list of ALL available standard scenarios appears for ALL the routes that you have installed. Then, you simply scroll down the list to find ‘Fort Kent Subdivision’ where all 20 scenarios will be listed. Took me a few tries to get it but works every time now. See the following link for more information: https://steamcommunity.com/app/24010/discussions/8/487870763310243069/ Hope this helps! P.S. there are 16 more scenarios available from either AllAboardRails or JustTrains.

For being one of the oldest routes on Train Sim, I have to say it still wows me to this day. Very fun to drive short trains on and if you have the gp30, it makes it perfect
