At the time, when consoles still had exclusives and were worth buying, I bought a PS3 to play some of those juicy exclusives. Most were plain average, but one did stood out. It was Journey. A marvelous experience that still looks, plays and feels amazing nowadays proving it is really a small piece of videogaming art. It's still amazing almost 15 years later.

This is an experience, a beautiful one. However, it is a bit too short/simplistic and skew too much on the "artsy" side. It didn't quite click for me, but for some people this probably resonates much more than it did for me.

A game with a soul unlike all the live service games out today, this game has aged like fine wine and is still a masterpiece to this day.

It's everything I wanted in a PC Port. The same game, the same community, the same bugs.
Despite the start up menu saying you need a controller it works perfectly fine with keyboard and mouse. There are a lot of players even now in Feb 2025 when I wrote this review. It's not just a game, it's an experience. Nothing has ever scratched the same itch as this game.

This game is beautiful. The ending was made even better because I got there with another stranger and we got separated so much, but we got there together. When the ending was playing out, we walked away together, and this was when our shapes created something that resembled the place we were trying to get to in the first place, which is a pretty awesome symbolic coincidence.

It's hard to believe Journey is 13 years old already. Ever since the release of the original, many indies have tried to capture the magic and emotion of this game, but very few have succeeded. The visuals, the art direction, the atmosphere, the loneliness, the mystery and the music all come together to create an adventure that may stick with you for the rest of your life.
I recently picked up the PC port and the game looks and runs better than ever, and it's still just as engaging and impactful as that first playthrough. It feels good to play on mouse & keyboard, and I had a silky smooth 120fps all the way through, zero stutters or bugs.
A true timeless classic and one of the best indies ever made, warmly recommended!

This game made me cry, lmao
Play this game by yourself, headphones on, no interruptions, no discord, no other distractions; just you & this game and I guarantee you that you'll have one of the most heartwarming, soulful experiences you could ever find.
I feel like I died with a stranger and we transcended into a beautiful existence beyond life together.

Very pretty walking simulator type game. Visually very beautiful, although you do get flash banged pretty badly by the loading screens between chapters lol. There’s no talking in the game and very few directional tips, but throughout the entire Journey the path was very clear. I came across one other traveller during my first Journey and playing together is definitely more fun than travelling by yourself. It makes the path less lonely. There’s a few things you can miss throughout your playthrough that I plan on getting in the upcoming days, but thankfully there’s a chapter select that can help you out. I’d say this is definitely worth playing.
Involves Enemy Evasion
A really beautiful game, which has you collecting little fragments of a ribbon which power your ability to navigate and power gates in a haunting dry landscape. It's a really nice game, smooth controls and all.
But does require you have good reactions and patience to get some of the sequences just right, so ultimately not suited to people who are not that quick. I played this game ages ago, cannot recall much more, but it is definitely relaxing up to the later areas which sadly turn it competitive. Note, if a friend joins you, they can assist you past some of the harder bits, and that's a fun part to the game in that if you near the end of a area and retrace your steps, you can go and help others progress. A very well thought out game.

I really enjoy this game. It's beautiful and the music does really well in setting the atmosphere in each area. It's short and sweet but easily re-playable.
I downloaded this game with the intention of playing it with my friend so that we could journey together. I'd read online that you can try to end up in the same zone at the same time, finicky but possible.
However, the game is intended for you to play with a stranger and when I came across a stranger in the first multiplayer area, chirping and jumping around excitedly together, I found the charm in the intention of this game. And we stayed together for the entire journey. My friend and I were in a voice chat together, each with our own travelling companion as we continued on, and it was FUN.
I found myself having a wonderful time, barely able to communicate with my travelling companion outside of our musical chirps but we still felt incredibly connected. If one of us fell, the other would wait or come back to collect them, when we succeeded on a puzzle we would both chirp together happily, and when the game got a little tense or the journey felt tough - the chirps from my companion felt like they were spurring me on.
This is a beautiful game where you feel inexplicably connected to someone you may never meet or hear from again. Yet you two always have that journey you shared together.
It is also wonderful in the way that you can take the journey at your own pace. You can explore to your hearts content and wander through the desert and if the stranger paired with you instead wants to go off on their own, they can. You will find someone else eventually who may want to explore or travel just as fast as you. They may stop to take a break and then you'll meet someone else again further along. The sentiment of it being your journey while being easier/more enjoyable with others (through the charging of your scarf) is really well done imo.
Highly recommend this game and I think I'll come back to it from time to time.
