As much as it hurts for me, I have to give it a thumbs down for now because of the price.
I know that the creator of this bus (Pedro) has spent a lot of time and dedication to this bus, but the price is for my opinion way too high for what you get.
You get two busses, a normal two door variant and a articulated three door variant. The quality of the busses are superb in terms of functionality, customizability (No other bus features something like this one does) and graphics.
The audio is for my taste not exactly the best. Some sounds are straight up missing like opening and closing passanger windows, some other sounds are cut off at the end abruptly.
So this is everything quite positive with little to no negative aspects, so what's the reason for me to not recommend it? The price.
For my taste, the price is set too high, even if it has such a good quality. It might just be me, but for two busses and nothing else and paying 15CHF for it is just a no-no for me.
So until the price will drop or it will go on sale, I'd wait for it. But if you love to see brand new features or just to drive a O405(G), get it.
[strike]PS: Does somebody else notice that on Steam it reads "OMSI 2 Add-On Ciytbus O405/O405G"?[/strike]
Edit: Fixed some sentences and grammar errors.

WOW - can you say GREAT DLC. Every aspect of this DLC is terrific. You can change between IBIS Controllers, TIcket Machine, Hubcaps, Display, marker lights, door operation, wheter you want a tachometer or coolant temperature indication, and the list goes on. WOW!!! The bus itself sounds so terrific amd real. There is a sliding window, and the doors make a sound when opening and closing. Announcements for stops are made (I cannot get this to work in the Hamburg Day/Night route, so it must be a specific problem to that route. If you are thimking of getting a bus DLC, THIS is the one to get. In total honesty, I cannot say I like it better thant the Gladbeck default bus, because it too is TERRIFIC (as is the route, regardles of older reviews of the DLC when it was in the early stages. But back to this DLC - GET IT - WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The O405 started service in the late 1980s, and started to replace buses such as the O305 and MAN SL200. Overall, a very well executed add on with quite a few good points, and very little to be upset about, and possibly one of the best buses that can be bought for the sim.
Pros:
+ Customization options including ticket printer type, doors, rollband/matrix displays, dashboard variations, and possibly more.
+Small details that can be opened, such as the boot lid in the back, showing the engine at work.
+Multiple Paint Jobs, with most made for the maps that can be bought for the sim, including 2 BVG paintjobs that would fit Spandau just well. Community also made multiple paintjobs, and there is also a O407 that needs this DLC to work.
+Solo and Articulated versions.
+Very well detailed.
Cons:
Really, non. Possibly one of the greatest addons made for the Sim. Price is a little steep as of 2020, but thankfully it goes on sale, it's worth it.

No matter what bus you drive in OMSI these days, everyone seems so common in handling, so this isn't any special.
The only positive feature is the feature to change things like ticket machine, hubcaps, curtains and door handling on the fly... So I recommend it.

These buses are very enjoyable. They drive really smooth and I like the way the destination display is like the old Berlin MAN SD200 with separate parts per line digit and per letter. It's also nice that you can open a lot of hatchets at the outside of the bus when you simulate malfunction of the bus, that you can stop somewhere and open them for example. The style of the interior is also quite unique for the Oxxx series in my opinion. And with also having a roll band variant the complete nostalgic experience is complete.

Wow this is a absolute beauty of a bus! I love the O405G gangway. So nostalgic! I would say this a very easy bus to modify. it also have a sound mod for it to have ZF and Voith varients. Repainting is some of the easiest one i done and the layers really helps to make the bus look nicer. Even the prices arent that high. Furthermore, I do love how much setvars there are for this bus, IBIS Destination controller, Rollband numbers to LAWO Flipdot! However, repainting requires you to drop the main layer opacity to 5% or some texture error will occur. I will definetly reccomend this DLC to all OMSI Players out there
Pros:
Easy to repaint
Have many configurations
Easy to mod
Bus is very neutral
Cons:
Bus repainting requires you to drop opacity.
Overall: I would give a 10/10 for this DLC! Best i have ever given!!! Good Job Pedro!

Being a MB O405 series fan, the "Citybus O405/O405G" was (and still is, of course) a must. What you get is pretty straightforward: the 12 meters and the 18 meters ("G" - Gelenkbus) version of the O405.
The overall quality is fantastic (compared to other addons) and the customization's done with the purpose of making everyone happy: infact, the O405 was so popular that reproducing every single version would have taken P. Vendeira an infinite ammount of time. Along the classic repaint templates, there's an SDK so you can further modify some parts of the bus.
Speaking of the model, textures: really high quality, nicely made and detailed. Some parts still need some fixing (you can see through some meshes) but I'm 99% sure that a solution will come really soon. Sounds: the sound compartment could be a bit better (in terms of quality), especially for the exterior engine sounds, but as it is, is fine. I think that finding an O405 equipped with a OM447h nowadays is a bit hard. The front door hit sound's also something that needs some polishing. The gearbox (MB W3E) script comes from a famous OMSI community member (known as Morphi) so preciseness' assured.
There's lack of engine and transmission variety (OM447hLA for example; Voith and ZF variants) but I'm fine with what we received; the community will surely provide some nice mods.

A very good bus that’s great to drive. It comes in both rigid and articulated versions. As usual for OMSI, the sounds are excellent. The textures are very detailed with various service panels that can be opened. (Even the fuel flaps open!) It also has an interesting feature where many aspects of the bus can be customized such as the destination display, door controls and the ticket machine.
If you are a fan of OMSI, I would definitely recommend it.

[strike]Apart from the fact that Aerosoft can't spell 'Citybus' - This is a really good bus.[/strike]
The model and textures are really high quality, and the sounds are pretty nice too with a nice gearbox :) Fun to drive, and definitely one for the city routes with it's fast opening doors. Haven't noticed any problems with it. Just a shame it doesn't have a Merc badge on it.
Think I'll be taking this one out fairly often! :)
