Broken DLC
Broken since the Razbam-ED dispute and it'll only get worse with each DCS update that comes from now on. Should be removed from store.

I am just pissed on how FN BAD the training missions are. It seems the plane changed but the training stayed the same resulting in all sorts of gaps and wrong info in the training missions. They tell you all sorts of crap you don't need to know but you get stuck at the most important parts. And since this is not exactly a gdamn pencil sharpener it is not exactly easy to try out by yourself. The module is cool but this is just so frustrating. If you ask 56 bucks for a module, at least have the decency to provide something usable...

Razbam doesn’t maintain their modules. I wasted my money on this Mirage 2000C and I am writing this review in the hopes that you don’t waste your money on a module that doesn’t receive support from its develooper.
The radar has broken and the flight model is becoming more and more unstable. I do not recommend Razbam or their modules. They have a history of doing this on other platforms such as Microsoft Flight Simulator. It serves me right for giving Razbam a second chance.

This is a great module, that, unfortunately, is no longer working properly and as of now, will only break further. It is a victim of the RAZBAM/Eagle dynamics divide and will not function properly anymore. It pains me to say this since it is one of my favorite planes and one that I have played more than most others (The reason it says 0 hours for me is that I bought this on steam shortly before I transferred to the non-steam version of the game and never flew it on the steam version). For more details on the RAZBAM/ED divide watch the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgkrM3YAC1A

Alright, like the harrier, the M2K has a problem, and this one is pretty major, and ill talk about it below.
As it stands, it seems like Razbam is doing some pretty big updates again, which is good.
I love the mirage, its a very fast "Multirole" plane. However, it only performs well in its own era, which is 1980s to 1990s
Its air to air is very good but not against BVR targets, as you only carry 2 SAHRs and 2 IR missiles max at the same time, and unless you stick to the ground you are going to get demolished by any newer airframe.
Its air to ground is... sad, really sad. Not only can it not designate its own GBUs, as it doesnt have a pod, but it cannot carry any bombs bigger than an MK82 (it can carry GBU 16 and 24).
However here are the problems that i hate about the mirage:
1) You cannot CCIP standard MK82s (WHY)
2) Only the cluster bombs and Snake eye bombs (high drag) will allow CCIP
3) For some reason, having all 4 wing pylons filled with rockets and then having 1 singular different weapon on any other, will break the 2 external wing pylons, making them unable to be operated.
Apparently you shouldnt be able to mix weapons on the mirage as per Razbam, however the mirage's computer has space for 5 weapons, so that makes no sense to me, anyway moving on to the major issue.
THE SOUNDS.
The sounds are... unacceptable, they really arent. Not only does every system warning sound in the plane sound extremely loud with no way of turning them down, the RWR can really hurt your ears on the lowest volume possible, this needs to be changed, the sound quality is, and i wont hide it, disgusting.
Many people i know fly with sound mods because the 2000C's sounds are unbearable.
For example, the start up sound, i can hear the engine spooling up, then it cuts off without any fading, it cuts off just like that, from a cool sound to a silent one. The harrier had the same issue and i also complained about it.
The sound quality is sub par with every other popular modules of DCS
-From me to you, Razbam: Holy shit please change the RWR sound.
I have to give this a negative because of how badly this module has been neglected over the years, although just now we are seeing important updates from its devs, i love the mirage even with its short coming, and i hope to see another version with more interesting A/G and MICAs, such as the 2000-5 or the 2000D.
If these issues (Mainly the sound) gets attended to, ill reconsider my recommendation, but right now it feels like its still in early stages of development.

Beautiful bird, well simulated, a blast to fly.
It's a not hard enough to break your head reading the manual, but it is not simple enough that takes the challenge satisfaction away... On the sweetspot if you ask me!
UPDATE: Put the DCS easy radio mode off so you can operate the radios manually.
Be sure to map some of the HOTAS buttons, some of those are very important.

The M-2000C is the module I have the most hours of playtime with.
Even though I own the F-14 and the A-10C, I prefer to fly this module in DCS.
Here are some questions, potential buyers might have:
-)What can I do with it?
Air to Air:
Magic ll missiles: short-range IR-missiles (like the Sidewinder)
Super 530D: semi-active radar-missiles (like the Sparrow)
Guns
You can carry 4 missiles total.
Either 4 Magic ll or 2 S-530D + 2 Magic ll
The aircraft is agile, nimble and a freaking beast in dogfights.
Air to Ground:
Bap-100 Anti-Runway-Munition (really nice!)
Mk-82 freefall
Mk-82 Snakeye, high drag
Laserguided GBU-12,GBU-16,GBU-24
B-66 Belouga Clusterbombs
Matra-Rocket-Pods
You can use (depending on orndnance) CCIP, CCRP, INS-bombing.
Please keeo in mind: The M-2000C does not have a targeting pod,
you'd need a JTAC or buddy-lase for the GBUs.
-Overall summary of capabilities:
You can do a lot with it. You can't do everything, but you can do much.
And what you can do is uncomplicated.
-) How difficult is it to fly?
It's relatively easy compared to other high-fidelity modules.
It has fly-by-wire and the flight computer is assisting you.
-)How difficult are the systems?
You'll need to put some time and effort in it, just like in any other
DCS module. DCS is a study sim, but:
It has less systems in it, than let's say, an A-10C or an F-18.
The plane is a nice gap-filler between the anologue cockpits and the
full glass cockpits.
You don't need a degree in computer science, to drop some bombs on some heads.
BIG EXTRA PLUS:
It comes with very immersive campaigns!
The caucasus campaign works like an extra tutorial embedded in a story.
Summary:
It's a good allrounder, especially for beginners.
It's not that complicated.
10/10 would buy again

Its a very nice aircraft to handle with fly by wire, its good for people who like a bit of AA and a bit of AG with bombs and cannon. I wouldn't say its worth 50 euro to be honest, but its a great aircraft
