I have just purchased the OBB but I cannot start it up. Upon watching a tutorial I noticed that I cannot swing to the right hand side and get to the control panel where the battery switches are located. Can anyone please help.?
As it is just now it is useless to me.

This thing to create the Pro line to train simulator is a shot in the foot. The company needs to understand that many players want to drive the train from the HUD . Bring on the HUD option in the PRO mode. I do not want to spend an hour reading manuals PDF or watching videos to make the train move. An idea:
Driver Assist works by highlighting the control required to be adjusted and provides you with detailed instructions and real-time feedback as to how far you need to move the control and what effect it has on the locomotive. Please!!!

Spectacular and really advanced EMU. Really pleased I bought it. The Cruise Control is a bit messy though, but apart from that, it is nice to drive, like other RSSLO products, and it really adds some variety to the Semmeringbahn.
Reading through the manual is REALLY recommended before jumping into it expecting to drive it like a BR 101.

This one is just superb, RSSLO did everything they can to make this feel real, and they certainly achieved it. A ton of features for this EMU, and as I owned the Railjet Advanced from Just Trains, I was surprised that these two have a lot in common as for the starting procedures.
I'm still struggling to master the speed control because going downhill is pretty tricky with this.
Overall, don't hesitate, just buy it and you won't regret once you know how to operate all the systems.
And at last, I have to say semmering bahn exceeded far more than I could imagine with the 1044and this, the route is now a must-have.

Just my opinion. You can read the other reviews for more details.
Amazing EMU in almost every aspect. It is like getting your first Smart Phone. :-)
You have to open the doors yourself using a manual switch? YES!
You have to close the doors yourself using a manual switch? YES!
Hey, want a real challenge going downhill? Well, here it is!
Only problem with this EMU is the Cruise Control. It is the only thing that could use some work in an update.
Pound for Pound, Dollar for Dollar, or whatever currency you use, it is worth every bit of it.
This is one Cold Starting Beauty!!!

Very nicely detailed train, and it perfectly completes the RSSLO Arlbergbahn route, where (in reality) it serves for regional REX and commuter S2 trains.
I like startup procedure, realistic PZB/SIFA/Lights switches, nicely detailed cab.
I do love particularly manual door switch, which can selectively open doors on the left or right side. With OBB 4023 you can precisely control this aspect, regardless of how the platform markers were set up.
The only minor drawback is awkward cruise control operation, but I get used to it.
It inspired me to create a couple of scenarios for REX service on Arlbergbahn (which you can download from Steam workshop).
For my scenarios, I prefer to set up the train with cab "B" first, because it speeds up the startup procedure (battery switch only in the cab B). It takes 2 min max to power up everything, which is enough time in the beginning of the scenario.
Those, who downvoted the train because it doesn't start, have you ever tried to read the manual first? :-)

Thank you RSSLO for this lovely piece of kit! Took me about 40 minutes with the manual just to get the thing to move. Not a complaint, just need to figure out the first time, then the driving is a wonderful challenge. The working LCDs are a huge addition, first I know of on a German loco, really adds to the realism. That includes a camera display with a numbert of differnet view modes. GSP 95 to enter the destination number, and radio dispatcher line controls are icing on the cake. You can even adjust the PZB mode with another complex auxillary panel. This will not be one of your four key AD;' trains to drive, you really need to master the controls and keep you hand on the throttle, there are no percentages displayed on the HUD. If you want a realistic challenge in a modern EMU, then this is THE train for you!
One tip, I could not find the battery control panel at first, it is only in one cab and you have to hit the right arrow key twice to get to it.
Tschüss!

Truly an advanced train in all aspects.
Beside all the features, which the people have already mentioned here in their reviews,
This train brings the software up to a much higher level concerning controls and possibilities, compared to most of the other dlc content.
Extra views for "battery and safty system setup", lots of display and radio options in general, and also an extra view for PZB controls in a very detailed method.
Even the wiper has 2 control keys inside the cab and you have to take the train-key with you, if driver's cab must be changed, for setup controls, or generally.
Awesome features and very challenging.
Concerning expert line products, I know vR, but this is even a step more advanced and simply awesome.

Very nice cute advanced trainset made by RSSLO!
Like I say since it's in the pro range that is very advanced and simulair to the Just Trains' Railjet. It took me like some time to get use to driving this train.
PROS:
+Advanced startup procedures!
+Operational doors!
+Can have different destinations by putting numbers on the GSP.
+PZB and SIFA switches instead of turning them on or off via keyboard.
+3 scenarios for Semmeringbahn which really fits this train but it can be for the Three Country Conner route too.
+Can set up PZB 90 through a panel.
+Fully working GSP, radio dispatcher, door cameras, and the status screen.
CONS:
-The scenarios has poor timetables making them impossible to pass.
-The AFB or cruise control can be akward at times but can get use to it.
-No throttle or brake precentage but at least it adds into a challenge.
Since for $20 I paid for that I really think this trainset is the best for TS considering it's features. I would rate this 9.8 out of 10.
