Solid DLC that adds new (harder) puzzles and expands upon the world.

Truly wonderful DLC, a different take on the same narrative themes just as effectively and what felt like a honing of the basegame's already great puzzles as well as some really tough stars which don't overstay their welcome considering you have no necessity to entirely complete them. An easy 10/10 to the basegame's 9.

It's a great DLC, if you want longer and more complicated puzzles this DLC give them to you My problem is that these puzzles aren't necessary always harder, just far longer with so much more steps, some puzzles could take you something like 10–15 minutes, and don't get me started on if you're getting the stars Definitely some good puzzles, but many feel like a chore, the main game had some puzzles like this as well, but here it's a lot worse I really think you should skip to Talos Principle 2, both the main game and the DLC are so much better than this one Still, without this I wouldn't have been getting the sequel, so I've got to give it thumbs up, it's still great regardless

Given that The Talos Principle is one of my favourite games of all time, I was excited to finally play this DLC after playing through the original game again. Unfortunately, while I still had a good time for the most part, I was a little bit underwhelmed, as I found that this DLC didn't quite hold up to the standard set by the original game itself. The story continues from where the story of the original game left off, but rather than simply exploring and learning about the world, you're instead given a rescue mission to complete before
the world ends
. I thought the story was neat, and it explores some things that the original game didn't touch, but it's far less philosophical and far less impactful than the main story was. Perhaps the main game set too high a bar, but I just didn't enjoy this DLC quite as much. It also played out a little weird as it seems like this DLC expects you to complete the hardest puzzles last, which I didn't do, so I ended up getting some story a bit out of order, which didn't make complete sense and was a bit of a bummer. The puzzles are just as good as in the main game for the most part though, although they are generally more challenging overall. I enjoyed the majority of of these puzzles, although there were a few that I didn't particularly like, either because they made it too easy to lock yourself out of the solution, requiring you to repeatedly do a bunch of work to get back to where you were, or because they relied on really specific, somewhat unintuitive mechanics that weren't really explored anywhere else in the game. The game doesn't require you to complete every single star puzzle to unlock everything though, which is nice, as this is where most of those more frustrating puzzles were. TL;DR This DLC provides more excellent puzzles and interesting story, although the story falls a bit short of the extremely good story of the main game, and some of the puzzles were a bit more tedious or relied a bit too much on extremely specific, unintuitive mechanics, so I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I enjoyed the base game. Despite this, if you're looking for more Talos Principle to play, this is still a great DLC to pick up, especially when it's on sale.
