This is a nice loco but there are no automatic sanders. The on/off switch is present but it doesn't work! They may as well reskinned a class 66.

As somebody else already stated, buy the Chatham line and get a whole pack with this included. Selling it separately for such a high price is just a DTG money grab...

First of all, I don't agree that this could be a reskin of Class 66. The 59 comes with a different interior (similar, yes, but not the same), sounds and extra features. In addition to what has been mentioned in the description there are also openable windows (and yes, the engine sound gets louder when windows are open). The scenarios for NLL are quite challenging but satisfying, as you struggle to get your heavy consist moving without slipping those wheels.

Nice loco to drive. Scenarios are good with the first one acting as tutorial. Brakes may take a little to get used to but the cab has a individually controlled two-tone horn, opening windows, working cab/instrument light switches and a user friendly layout. Despite being a Class 59/2 most experienced players will quickly notice that it sounds are from the Class 66 loco.

This is a very nice loco to drive, the tutorial in the first scenario is extremely well done and most informative. I just love this type of braking set-up.

This train is really hard to drive. It takes ages to start and when you brake a tiny bit it stops dead even if you put full power on straight away afterwards. Get a class 66 instead.

The Class 59 is a nice addition for Train Simulator, which has been changed in the cab to be different from the class 66. It has decent sounds, but it will be great if AP add their touch to it. I also like the visual appearence of both of the interior and exterior. There is even a great tutorial to help you to drive it, which is a nice touch. My overall rating is 8 out of 10.

as far as im concerned the loco performs and looks fine and the scenarios provided are enjoyable, but it has to be said that the sounds are just awful. nothing like a real 59, to the point where it would have just been better to recycle from the class 66 (not that that's a good thing but it speaks to the quality of the current sounds) if you can look past the sounds, i'd say get it.

Picked this up in the steam sale and it's a great loco to drive! Great scenarios and it has great detail. Also comes with very detailed EWS JHA wagons. Only con is the brakes are not too great on the loco but that's all I have to complain about it! It's worth it even at full price. 9/10 from me. Pros: Great scenarios for the North London Line. Very detailed loco with a very detail DB Schenker red livery and detailed EWS JHA wagons. Nearly every button on in the cab of the Class 59 is pressable and does something. Cons: Braking is not so good on the Class 59 but that's the only con about it.

Don't buy it here get it from Chatham main and Medway valley lines, (you receive for free there). I think the pricing is too high for this class 59 (class 66 reskin) to be honest.
