if you like shunting ,its not bad. If you like going from one place to another its crap, With the steam engines ,you run out of power half way, leaving you in the middle of nowhere trying to get the steam back up. i was hoping they'd come out with a modern version .

About the Panier 0-6-0 used on the mission Branch Business on career. To make it move without getting out of pressure, you need to pull up the Damper Valve. It is next to the Firebox, and you can hold "M" to pull, and "Shift + M" to push it down. If you don't pull it up, you will lose a lot of pressure when moving the locomotive
The career mission The Little Things Count is broken. On the final part of the mission you need to detach a wagon, from all the wagon you are carrying, to park it on one spot. But there is missing a order from the task list to attach again the wagons you just leave. The result will be a penalty for operational error. Plus, the automatic junction will not move for you to complete the journey, and you can't pass beyond Penryn up platform.

If you're going to get this route then get it on sale, and get it for the docks shunting scenario rather than the branch line, as it's far more fun than the latter. The little shunter is cool. I found it impossible to complete the pannier scenario on the branch line as I couldn't hail enough boiler pressure.

Pretty nice DLC. This route has quite a lot of scenarios, and even more with it's extra engines like the 14xx. I recommend this DLC!

Visually this scenario has aged well and most of the locomotives it comes with are great. Scenarios offer a mix of shunting, passenger and rolling stock.
But it lacks scenarios and the Pannier Tank loses steam way too quickly making it impossible to operate. This is a problem because 40% of the scenarios use that locomotive and it's terrible.
I can't complain too much though as I got this cheap and it helped me get into Steam locomotives.

For one of the older routes, it actually has more detailed, interesting and beautiful scenery than many newer UK countryside routes. The dockside part is unique from any other route, and the engines included are good as well.

For being as old as it is, this is by far one of the most impressively scenic routes I've driven and it's amazing on performance! Tho short, it makes up for it in scenery and playability with all the yards and a whole shipping port to play around in!

A nice route in my opinion and being a GWR fan as well as I like the Pannier Tank engine. I had to get this the moment I spotted it. The Pannier Tank is a fun but a challenging locomotive to drive although its not too hard once you get the hang of it. Don't worry if you get minus score in career mode as driving this steam locomotive is much more difficult than driving the modern diesel locomotives and you will get better as you play this route more. Personally I would give this a try if you want to have a go and for its age. Its still a good add-on for your train simulator.
Overall Rating: 7/10.

Ok only a branchline...but nostalgia in game form. Rolling Cornwall countryside.....warm summer days, singing birds and GWR stock....I love this, a great way to relax. I don't really play preset senarios much, but the ones in this seem nice, but it's a great line to learn and run freeroam senarios. A simple short bit of mainline running through Truro to build AI trains passing through and for AI trains running into senario to drive; with the rest of the branch to populate with stock. With it being quite short it doesn't crash so easily by overloading with assets. So you can get a really nice selection of stock on if you've some nice DLC from suppliers like SteamSounds, and still keep graphic settings high on a medium power computer. Of course, it's train sim, so you have to accept graphics are hardly up to 2017 standards, and I can't help looks at the dockyard and the cranes and think there is so much here that could have been done with modern game engine - but the docks do add interest for running. If you see this on sale I can't think of a much better way of spending £5 or £6......heck you'd spend that on coffee and bun. Hours of relaxation.

This add-on is really nice. If you are looking for a small route that contains some new locos and wagons, with great sceanry, look no further. Falmouth Branch is an excellent route. I never use the scenarios included with these packs, so I can't judge whether they work 100% or not, however, from using Free Roam, the route is great.
The locos it includes are:
Hall Class - Great loco. One of the older RSC Hall models from their old Hall pack, still sounds great and looks good.
0-4-0ST Shunter - These guys are awesome. Originally RSC had a Saddletank pack which included a bunch of these guys, unfortunately the only way to get these engines are from this pack or the Isle of Wight. It includes blocks as buffers (forgot the correct term), but if you own another of these 0-4-0 locos you can change the model and have proper buffers if you wish.
Pannier Tank - Haven't used this loco very much, however in the few times I did use it, it sounded and looked great. The sounds seemed very similar to the Hall, having lots of the same features.
The question, is it worth $30? No. Not by a long shot. I don't think any Railworks DLC that has been produced actually is worth their value. Especially the routes. If you wait for the Steam sales, like I did, $9 (currently) is a fantastic price for this add-on.
