Perhaps the most underappreciated classic boomer shooter. It pulls off old school boomer shooter goodness + integrated lightsabers, cool boss fights/lightsaber duels, and amazing force powers. And, you know, it's Star Wars. By the end of the game, you will feel like an indestructible force god. It's criminal that no one talks about this game.
If you like boomer shooters and Star Wars, this one is a no-brainer. In fact, the entire Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series is gold, with each game in the series arguably greater than the last (and Dark Forces 1 started great to begin with).
I played this on Steam Deck with only some occasional graphical glitches that are easily remedied by simply going to the Esc menu a few times.

Fun game, very nostalgic. The large open areas and liminal spaces provide a sense of wonder and curiosity. Would highly recommend.

Game is enjoyable but can be really cryptic at times. Graphics aren't that good compared to Shadows of the Empire that came out a year before and on the Nintendo 64. It's actually crazy listening to John William's Star Wars compositions in the game where they are uncut unlike in the movies. Music felt old and new at the same time. Set blasters on full

Firstly please download the remaster mod. The game is unplayable without it, but steam doesn't track your hours. It also requires a bit of setup in game as well. Some of the preset keybinds are nonsensical as well as inverting the mouse by default. When you get everythigg up and running it's a good game.
There is some late 90s video game bulls*it you have to deal with like any other game from this time period, but overall i had a lot of fun and definitely worth it. Also the use of real actors mixed with dated 3D models is hilarious.

Another late 90s game; there might be moments where you might have to look up online for a guide. There was only one moment where the game crashes (level 19). Live action videos are entertainingly funny, and there is a community of mod makers updated this game in high quality if your interested.
its a good game to play,

A great game, however I'd recommend getting the Remaster Mod to get it to run properly. Otherwise you're gonna be in for a bad time.
