DCS: C-101 Aviojet will include both the C-101EB and C-101CC models. The C-101EB model is the primary jet trainer and aerobatic display aircraft of the Spanish Air Force, whilst the C-101CC model, with its 7 hard-points and uprated engine, is a versatile light attack aircraft that has seen combat with the Honduras Air Force against drug...

Take 1 min to startup, take at least 3 miles of runway to take off regardless of your loadout/fuel level, take ages to get to combat, take 0.1 sec to prepare the deliverance, is the most underpowered plane i have ever seen in the history of simulation games and have some nice liveries and is FUN AS HELL, 1000% recommended

Solid, if unspectacular, entry into the DCS World lineup. The Czech L-39 already does a lot of what the C-101 does and its faster / more agile to boot. On the contrary, the slower pace of the C-101's actions will allow you to undertake Advanced Jet Training at a much easier curve than even what the L-39 can offer. Both are good light attack / trainer aircraft, and I would give the edge to the L-39 if I had to choose, but there is really nothing wrong with the C-101 module as-is. You'll certainly get your money's worth on sale - I waited for one instead of going full-price on it.
It doesn't have any bells and whistles but if you're looking to complete your DCS World library, it's a solid entry and a good change of pace.

A surprisingly cool little trainer. Modeling is excellent, all systems are functional (including the circuit breakers !). Textures and lighting are good to great, sound is very good too.
It's a great plane for training, to learn iron bombing with a fixed sight (check out Sidekick/Iain Christie's series of youtube videos to help you get better, "The Iron Bomber guide to the Galaxy).
It's also a cool plane for simply flying around, IFR flights in the clouds, or just sightseeing.
So, I bought it because I was bored and wanted to try something new, I wasn't disappointed. Surprisingly ! I didn't expect to have so much fun in a trainer. Oh, and of course, the comparison stands with the L-39. C101 has western equipment and a bit more functionality but the biggest difference is C101 looks so much better. The cockpit modeling is modern whereas the L39 looks dated.

"The C-101EB model is the primary jet trainer and aerobatic display aircraft of the Spanish Air Force."
While everything works as it should, I'm massively disappointed at how "heavy and slow" this feels, along with a really annoying "artificial" engine sound.
Pair the above with huge FPS drops, screen freezes every 30secs lasting upto 5 secs and a game crash after 30mins, I cant recommend this.

Fantastic module, great for just flying and enjoying the views, it really is top notch. i wouldn't recommend if you are into fast jets. the engine noise seems a bit artificial to me but that is my only gripe.

One of the top 5 modules for DCS. For me this has a better flight model feel than many of the other modules, better than the F5 for examlpe. It has a nice weight to it, is easy to fly and learn but still has a decent number of arms.
My only negative point is that it's not very effective on modern multiplayer servers due to its slow speed. But that's a point of the aircraft itself, not the module.

tldr: one of the few multi-crew capable planes, fun and easy to fly, with perhaps the most beautiful cockpit of all currently (2020) available modules. The training modules are a pain.
The C-101 comes in two variants: the trainer and fighter, and as a fighter it can carry a surprising amount of weapons (for a plane of its size). That being said, outside of self-created missions, you'll rarely see it available on servers because of it's low speed.
What makes this module attractive to me are two things:
- it is easy and a joy to fly. It simply handles beautifully, and has very, very benign stall characteristics at around 90 (!) knots.
- of all the planes in DCS I own (that's pretty much all of them except some war birds), this is the only jet that gives me the 'casual' feeling: friendly, round, clear instrument, no glass (trainer version, a targeting visor for the fighter) - you fly this plane as god intented you to: by watching your needles for airspeed, vertical speed, and altitude.
The clarity of the instruments is also an big plus to me - I'm exclusively flying in VR, and I prefer very readable instruments. The C-101 delivers in spades (anyone flying the Bug in VR can tell you how difficult it is to read the MFDs, and how annoying it is to move in closer to get a good look at the read-outs. We shall not speak of the russian Burning Cliffs planes in this regard).
My main interest in this plane is two-fold: precision flight training, and joyriding. Using it as a fighter (in combat missions) holds very little interest for me personally, but I used this plane extensively to sight-see - most recently for the Syria map when it came out, as it's slow speed and easy handling made flying through the rolling hills and canyons so much more enjoyable - a veritable joyride (if I could, I would fly a helicopter, but unfortunately, I have proven singularly inept flying helos).
If there is one thing that I feel needs attention, it is the provided training missions. Not only are they buggy, they are really, really annoying and badly structured. If my trainer (I'm a licensed pilot) built her lessons like those that come with this module, I'd have fired her on the spot. At least improve the briefings, or add the lesson's training goals to the (excellent 150+ pages) manual!

i waited for the Steam Release of this aircraft, and i can tell you that it was 100% worth it!
It´s a wonderful advanced trainer/Light Attack Aircraft! for a "fully clickable" airplane Its quite easy to fly and its coming with 2 versions: the trainer called EB and the light attack version called CC.
The later one has TONS of ordnance to choose from incl. MG/Cannon/IR-Missiles/Rockets/bombs and even Sea Eagle Anti-Ship Missiles.
So its quite capable little machine to fly in DCS World and i recommend it very much!
I give it 5/5.

Great plane, ill recommend it to all plane and DCS lovers.
Its not to fast but this means you can learn to fly it more intense.
The only negative is, it has 2x configuration layouts, damit i have to assign all buttons and axis twice, with rudder panels and hotas and saitek switches it takes me more than 30 min

Love it. Love it. Love it. The C101 has quickly become my go-to plane when I want to go out and just fly. When you drive this ship you are a pilot. You won't spend your time staring at a display screen or managing software. The flight model is smooth and responsive. The systems are well modeled. There is not a lot of automation so you need to learn and understand all the details that make this machine tick. It is a primary trainer so the learning curve is not too ovewhelming just challenging enough if you want to make full use of all the resources. A great aircraft for learning about how to fly rather than how to manage weapon systems. The perfect machine for practicing aerobatics, night, and instrument flying and entry into combat flight maneuvers. This aircraft is all about the FLYING rather than computer systems management.
Its not fast but I find flying below the treeline at 250kts to be just as exciting as mach 1.2 at 200 feet. On a plus side, you have almost 7 hours of available fuel so running out of fuel won't happen unless you have a much stronger bladder than I.
On paper, the aircraft seems pretty weak compared to other DCS options like the FA18/F16 but I have found it to be the perfect aircraft to just go out and have fun with and learn how to PILOT well. Anyone can fly on cloudless sunny day but the C101 will teach you how to fly well in all weather and light conditions. Could you learn the same thing in other aircraft? Sure. It might not be as fun and you might find yourself buried in the myriad of systems that the advanced DCS aircraft can provide and never learn to do the fundamentals well. Don't be that sunny day DCS pilot that can't fly a mission at night or in the clouds. Real pilots don't stay in bed just because the skies are not clear. Use this fun aircraft to be a good pilot. Then hop into your advanced fighter and rule the skies. You might however, find yourself returning to the C101 just because its the flying that makes a flight simulator fun in the first place.
