Its very fun, but there is a lot of bugs, such as getting stuck in walls, falling throuh the map, the ikran call not working ect but overall its really fun :D

I don't know, i really don't know. Firstly, i'm a huge avatar fan and in no way is this review a dump on the game in its entirety, just a bit disappointed. The game runs like s**t even at low settings with frame gen on and that's because of all the colours and the environment and the trees etc etc, but you get full performance as soon as you step inside a cave! Like most games i suppose Story is kind of uninteresting, i lost my attention to the story and just started skipping the cutscenes and dialog. In terms of crafting and stuff, its quite complicated and tedious and the camps don't have any pointers to where stuff is, for example i wanted to donate some things to the tribe but you have to run around every camp trying to find the basket because the game wont tell you where it is and you can run around for ages trying to look for it, that's even with guided mode on. I think they have overdone it here There's no point trying to be stealthy in this game because the bad guys will spot you almost instantly if you get in their line of sight and will immediately rush you. There is no motivation to be stealthy. The 'base taking' is not satisfying as it has been is other Ubisoft titles. I played all the Far Cry's and Assassins Creeds and there is always an abundance of things to do and explore and i was led to believe this game was more of the same but it turns out there's not much to do outside of the main quest. Yes there is things to collect and upgrades and some side quests but don't expect to see the millions of '???' around the map Overall, the game is very pretty but in my opinion that's all its got going for it, which is a shame because i was really hyped for this game.

Absolutely love this game. It's so immersive and the world building is incredible. The world is so beautiful and you feel like such a badass riding an Ikran around, slamming into helicopters to protect Pandora. My only real complaint is the memory painting minigames- they break the action, they're extremely slow, and because of the patterns you have to follow you really don't get to appreciate the scenery. And that's the entire point of that minigame. Some things can get a little hard to find, but once you understand the game it's a bit easier.

I dont understand some of these review. The graphics are amazing, the story is insane, and I have barely even scratched the surface. W game, especially on sale

Hello Gamers and Avatar Fans! First important thing to say, yes all the people are right saying that the game has performance issues... I've never have had such big problems with bigger and newer games with my RTX 3080 but this game. Maybe it was the problem because I've put it on my HDD instead of SSD first. Strange was that problems only begun when I first came into the world, such like other people also described here. So very recommended to put this game to your SSD. Otherwise it is a very beautiful game, great looking big world. Much details and a great story. If it is based on the movies I sadly can't tell. I was way younger when I watched it. But I guess it is correct or close enough to it. I really love the mechanics, combat, scanning and especially the movement. Feels a bit like being in Assassin's Creed. I like how the skill tree is implemented and how you can achieve bigger skills by accomplishing other missions. Not so much customizations for creating your avatar but we are not in Sims, so it's alright! I love the fact that you can achieve higher level missions even with being at low level. Me and my Obu infiltrated a base which acquired level 20 but we were level 6 but we kept going and were so focused to complete that mission. At the end we did with teamwork and gained great loot. It's a great game but still it's sad that so many people can't properly play the game, even with low graphic settings. Well, something always has to go wrong with Ubisoft. Otherwise it wouldn't be Ubisoft. And last but not least the price of 69,99€ is definitely not worth all the problems you can read in these several reviews. And none of them are lying. But still I enjoyed the time I already played and still will play. It is worth the discount price of 23,09€. Therefore I do recommend the game. But because of the performance issues and this exorbitant price of 69,99€ with no discount, I have to give the game a rating of: ~ 7/10 Get Goo Goo Alu!

This game has the most beautiful open world graphics of any game I know. Wandering around on Pandora is extremely impressive, and I think the game is worth it just for that. Add in the ability to fly on an Ikran through a massive open world, and what is not to like. There are several negative reviews, and the best I can figure is that these come from the annoyance that Ubisoft has not really changed their game loop much for decades. This still uses the basic Far Cry or Assassin's Creed game loop. They may also relate to the strong environmental message in the game, but come on, you are playing as a Na'vi. There are a couple of booring side games but you can skip these if you want. I enjoyed the game. It had decent stealth. The open world was full of things to do, and very dense with foliage. The story was decent, and the side quests were good. Wandering around at night with everything glowing around me was magical.

Couldn't get past the literal tutorial where you have to escape from the facility because of a game breaking bug where the vent you had to crawl through wouldn't open so I couldn't progress.

As a massive Avatar lover, I was really disappointed with the game especially considering it's hefty price and size. It's just a worse Horizon Zero Dawn experience. Sure the visuals look good and the world you get to play in is expansive and alien, but the story you follow just feels like you're cleaning up the aftermath of Jake Sully, making you and your "story" just a series of "side-quests". Not to mention that the entire introduction to the game was a series of "short films" that gave you no player input until after, which was not it. They weren't even very fluid scenes. Throughout the game there are animations that are stagnant and unpolished, there are bugs that ruin the immersion, and combat feels unbalanced and sloppy when it really should feel smooth and satisfying. If you want stunning visuals, fluid, satisfying game-play and combat, an immersive story, and a breathtaking world to explore, just play the horizon games and don't waste your time and money on this.

I own A LOT of games. I play A LOT of games. It's not that I don't like Avatar: Frontiers, I do. But I can't recommend it, especially at full price. Here is the deal. It's somewhat of a performance mess. The only issue I have had, besides spending some considerable time messing with the graphics, is the "pop-ins" (especially while flying) Some of it I understand but it can be an INCREDIBLE eye-sore in certain areas, ruining the immersion (at least for me) I waited for awhile to buy the game on sale after reading all the issues people were having early on. I can't believe they release these games sometimes so unoptimized then expect gamers to "deal" with it. Which gamers do! Shout out to all my gamers out there making games playable after developers drop the ball! Because of all the gamers though, by the time I decided to play it the game was playable. For some peoples reference I am playing on a RTX 3070 8GB VRAM, Intel I7 7700K 4.2GHz, Windows 10 (because 11 won't allow chipset), 4TB NVMe SSD running 1080p on mostly HIGH settings. Game looks great and runs smooth besides the pop ins but I really hate the pop-ins. I've also watched a lot of videos and those people have them as well. I have also saw many, many posts about it so it is an obvious issue across many different set ups. Then, there is the "Penance mission" bug that cannot be completed. This bug has been known for months now by the developers and still there is no fix. This one for me is unacceptable and the MAIN reason I will not recommend this game, even on sale. I paid $45 for the Deluxe on sale and I am disappointed. I'm not even a completionist and this bothers me. The game has been out for a while now and this should of be taken care of, especially when people are paying upwards of $120. I count on the gamers finding a work around before the developers. With all of that being said, I have 82.5 hours in this game at the time of writing this review, with 82 of those hours messing with the graphics settings (LOL) I actually enjoy playing the game most of the time but I tend to agree with those that say the is a Far Cry clone with Avatar dressing (albeit good dressing) I love the Avatar movies so I obviously think that helps. I love the Far Cry series (especially 3) and that helps me enjoy the game as well. Maybe the game is worth 25$ at this time, at most. So if you can get it for that, why not? (wait a year) In closing I would like to take a little jab at Ubisoft (You Be Soft) Since joining the PC gaming community 8 years ago I have noticed many issues with this company. Especially performance and optimization issues. Then there was the shutting down of The Crew with no offline option. Ubisoft is "ON NOTICE" with the gaming community and it is only a matter of time before they suffer the consequences of shady business practices. I like many of the Ubisoft games but as a consumer the only vote I have is with my wallet. I will stop buying their products if this continues.
