A moody, humorous and a little dark detective/mystery 90s classic. Jane Jenson and Sierra go beyond Police Quest, Space Quest and King's Quest with this trilogy. In the earlier version Tim Curry voices Gabriel, Mark Hamill Det. Mosely and Dr. John is voiced by Worf! (Michael Dorn). In this 20th anniv. update, the graphics and legendary OST (Robert Holmes) are enhanced, with the story true to 90s original. Well worth your time.

This game is very good - among the best point-and-click adventure games, in fact. However... it comes with a painful curse.
For the past year since playing this game, I've had the street musician's trumpet rendition of "When The Saints Go Marchin' In" find its way into my head. It's sneaky...because at some point each week, I just find it in there, honking and tooting incessantly in my head.
And this horrid fate will befall you too, if you play this game! Yet, still, I must confess that this is 100% a game worth playing. I merely had to let you know about the hidden price you must pay...

The re-make is decent, voice acting good and graphics an upgrade. Nicely done.

Entire voice cast changed, it's not the same game. The graphics are ok, animations are slow and sometimes unskippable. If you are a fan of adventure games in GENERAL this is ok, but if you're a Gabriel Knight fan you are going to be very disappointed.

A well done homage to the original, Gabriel Knight: Sins of the Fathers Anniversary Edition provides the same gaming experience as the initial version, but ups its game with better graphics and quality of life features. Submersed in the world of voodoo in New Orleans, writer and paranormal investigator, Gabriel Knight must solve the mystery of the voodoo murders. Thoroughly enjoyable and thrilling. Rated 7 out of 10.
