An older but really enjoyable German map, which doesn't suffer from the problem that so many of RSC/DTG's German maps have - missing speed change signals on the HUD. This one is pretty solid in that regard. It's quite a pretty route although it's clear that it uses older assets. The only downside is that, despite this not being a taxing or tough map on frame rates, I get quite a few CTDs on this map, usually (frustratingly) near the end of a long drive from Munich to Garmisch.

This a very detailed route and is worth the money! The scenarios are good and there a few to choose from. The train is also really good as well as a slightly updated DB class 101. This route does need one or two more rolling stock. overall 8/10

A good scenic route with single track operation for most of its length. The included DB EMU is nice to drive and has a few scenarios for the route. The only drawback I find is some of the speed limit markers are not in the correct places.

Highly recommended. If you think of pure passanger route (no freight) this is the perfect route for the european region. I really love it. Well made, very scenic. Over half of the route is single rail but there is a part with 2 and 4 rails (for S-Bahn service) and last 20 km around Munchen are like 10 parallel rails. It is therefore very rich in different kinds of driving. There is some work to do in the cab as speed limits often change. I realy like driving it hudless - it's not very difficult as you are warned about most of the limits so you have to remember only few tricky places. As for the rolling stock I am not very impressed by the attached EMU. It is fine but it has no AFB and seems just very simplified. I recommend buying BR442 Talent 2 EMU which works perfectly with the route but do it only if you are not planing to extend the route to Innsbruck with the Mittenwaldbahn add-on as Talent 2 is included there. Another nice thing is the fact that you can easily extend the route by either Mittelwand (to Innsbruck) or Munich-Augsburg (to Augsburg) ad-ons. This way you can drive around 3 hours of real life ICE Karwendel from Augsburg to Innsbruck. The real train started at Haburg going through Berlin, Leipzic, Nunberg and Augsburg, so you if you own Berling-Leipzig already, with all the add-ons you can drive around 5 hours of it's 12h original route.

The Mittenwald-Garmisch package shows amazing details in the scenery and is a lot fun to play.Yet there are some slight changes compared to real world: some speed limits are incorrect, and at some places the wrong signal type is installed. Not sure if and how users maybe could fix those ... Otherwise big fun to play with

ENG/CZE: This older but very good DLC contains a route from the Bavarian capital Munich south to Garmisch-Partenkirchen in the foothills of the Alps. The route was built gradually from the mid-19th century onwards, and was electrified in the early 20th century. Today it is electrified with the standard German-Austrian 15kV voltage along its entire length. The line starts at Munich Central Station, runs through the western city centres and then turns south along the main corridor. Here there is a section with line speeds of up to 160km/h. Up to Weilheim the line is double-tracked, then single-tracked up to Garmisch. In Garmisch, the DLC Mittenwald connects to this line, which takes the train over the Alps to Innsbruck. The route, with its 100km, is one of the longer ones, the present is very nicely done, detailed and is also variable. At its beginning, you pass through an urbanised area, which is then replaced by the countryside with a series of fields, meadows and forests to finally enter the Alpine valley in Garmisch. There are over 20 railway stations along the way, again most of them nicely modelled and containing handsome 19th century station buildings. The base offering for this DLC is only the BR 426 type EMU, depending on your collection you will then get a number of additional missions with a range of train types in the Worshop. If you own the Mittenwald DLC, you have BR 442 Talent 2 and thus a large number of missions for Munich - Garmisch. Track speeds range from 100km/h up to 160km/h, so even fast driving enthusiasts will enjoy it. Of course, the Sifa and PZB are also available. Overall I rate 8/10 and recommend to buy, especially at a discount. xxxxxxxxxxxxx Toto starší, avšak velmi dobré DLC obsahuje trasu z Bavorské metropole Mnichova na jih do Garmisch-Partenkirchen v podhůří Alp.

Ok the locations are breathtaking in this DLC but a lot of bugs. The speed markers are not defined properly and you won't even know when to loose speed or gain speed to match the specified speed. You cannot get good career XP by this DLC but it's good for fun.

Nice scenery and landscapes, nice signalling. You can also drive ICE scenarios if you have the ICE add-on. The ring sounds at the level crossings are really terribly bad. There are 2 drawbacks, which appear only with the ICE scenarios: - signalling is not fully correct, braking distance is not always long enough after a warning signal. So you have to redo the scenario, anticipating the signal to begin braking, which really kills the mood. - the schedule is such that you have to drive at full line speed all the time, no leeway. This is boring and not realistic.

I don't own many DLC's, but I like this one, especially the route. It's really a mindblowing piece of track. It does have some minor issues, the distance snow textures are quite blurry and the route isn't easy for every pc. The BR 426 is also not a light-weight, but the cab an the passview are really dissapointing. The cab is fully done with photo-textures, that doesn't look too good. The passview has also some photo-textures and low-quality textures. So, if you're interested in some beauty, don't look inside this train. While my pc does almost every train on every route I have (that aren't a lot, but compare to routes like Hamburg - Hannover or the Woodheadroute) with a decent framerate, my pc doesn't score too good with this one. Finally, the acts are well done, but a little bit tight. I can't get to every station in time, but I guess this are real-life timetables. After all, I'd give this package a 8.5/10 (with not too much knowledge)

I recommend to buy this route, If you are looking for mountain scenery and trains with strong DB's red color. I loved the way that train goes trough village after village, but was a bit disappointed about the quick-drives low options for starting station. There is only two of them: Garmisch of Munich. But otherwise the route is perfect for all who likes countryside's train-networks.
