It was always a risk, buying a 2013 train addon, in 2021! But surprisingly, this is quite a decent loco. The cab modelling and texturing is really good (better than some 2020/2021 releases!) and the sounds are good. The let down is that the AFB is just awful - it let's the speed drop and then races at 100% power to regain it, then goes to idle ..... rinse and repeat. Spoils an otherwise good train. If driven with AFB off, all is good and PZB / SIFA work well. Best picked up on sale

This loco is a sub-par. PZB is broken, stuck on 55 mode, which is way too low. Display on the left constantly shows that parking brake is applied and the engine is off. Tractive Effort digital display constantly shows 111%, instrument lights are not present. Atleast loco physics are decent. Buy RSSLO ÖBB 2016 instead.

Not bad for a add-on released back in 2013. The loco comes in a black livery so rather different from the usual red seen on German routes. Working Sifa and PZB systems are included but being an older add-on the PZB mode can't be changed during a scenario but will change in the scenario editor depending on what priority you change the train to so you'll have to experiment briefly in order to get the correct mode. A working AFB is also included and the loco will hover between the selected speed and about 3kph below as the engine will apply power up again. Two wagons are included such as tankers and covered wagons. There's not many scenarios in the workshop for this loco as I think that is to do with the loco's controls as the throttle is spring loaded so you'll need to juggle it so the throttle doesn't go straight back to zero or apply too much power as you'll need to pay attention to the screen on the left of the dashboard to see where the throttle is set to. Next is the brake which requires fine tuning of it's own as applying it will set it to 75% and any further will set of the E-brake so just like the throttle you have to fine tune it. It's still worth getting on sale as it can be used as Ai in scenarios if the controls are not your thing.

Nice and unique loco but I wouldn't recommend it for beginners because of it's unusal controls and it's powerful diesel engine. I also had to spend some time to get used to the braking, shunting and speeding but later it became my favourite eurpoean diesel. Too bad that there aren't many scenarios for this loco in the workshop.
