The train puts an emergency braking on every 5 seonds, and is impossible to turn off. The only good thing is it allows a passenger view in the amfleet coaches.... I want my money back!

For people lazy to read manual book. Disabling the Alerts – If the player does not want ALERTER functionality, they can press CTRL-F to toggle ACSES Cut-out, this will actually toggle the alerter. This was used as there is UI on the cab signalling to remind the user what the setting is. If the player does not want ALERTER OR ATC alarm and penalty brake functionality then they can press CTRL-D to toggle ATC Cut-out. In this case the cab signalling will still function, it just won't pester you with alarms or brake applications. To quickly get to the SUPPRESSION notch on the brakes, the engineer can press SHIFT-‘

It's a really cool train. It's just... only 2 career scenarios and 2 short training scenarios, it's like no more than an hour and a half of content. Probably best to wait for a sale.

Updating my review on this DLC. This comes with some ups and some downs. I want to start with the positives. First of all, everything about this locomotive is amazing. The horn is awesome, the train is very detailed, the passenger cars have an interior compared to the normal Amfleets, the sounds are accurate, and so much more. It's definitely my favorite American add-on in the game so far. But then there are the downsides. Want to play with this locomotive outside of the New York-New Haven route? Too bad. You can't. Why you ask? There's a bug in the safety system that sounds the alerter every second and you can't disable it. The alerter will then apply the emergency brakes and thereby making you unable to play with the DLC. That's the only problem I have with this DLC and it truly sucks how I can't use it in the New York-Philadelphia route but I still definitely recommend it for people to play on the New Haven route, it's just amazing.

Man, you gotta love the engine. ALL of the sounds are accurate to what they sound like in real life, including the horn and bell. I totally recommend this without a doubt.

Looks like A spaceship takes off like A rocket then it stops dead because of the stupid alerter if this gets fixed 10 of 10 if not 5 of 10 sorry about that but the alerter hurts this loco that bad I have to drive it in simple mode because of the alarm going off every ten seconds or so and I hate simple mode I think I will try pushing the ctrl + d keys to see if I can get the alarm not to sound and still drive it in expert mode like the FL9.

If you are keen about trains, and just want a train which likes to cruise and make life that little bit easier, look no further, this train is perfect for the job. Its also got the power.. hense the name, High HorsePower-8 locomotive. 8,000hp to be exact. However, if you are looking for horsepower, the locos which replace the known to be unreliable HHP-8, the ACS-64 has 8,500hp. I am not suggesting that the HHP-8 is a bad DLC, it is just at the end of the day, the HHP-8 is still a great locomotive to start off with, when you ignore most of the reality facts.

I love this DLC, I really do. Its just the alerter randomly turns on when you're doing everything correctly and won't shut off. I passed at danger, it was approved, I was under speed limit, et cetera. Once the alerter turns on, you cant turn it off, and it turns on within a mile of departing. I love the cruise control, but the alerter glitch just [b] [i] [u] ruins it [/b] [/i] [/u] .

Sad to see these things retired and put into storage by the Sprinters, but it does have a nice horn that, even though it may not be the actual horn, it's good enough. I give it a 15/17.
