I played SA1/DX before this game on steam and was worried this port would be broken as well. Well, it kind of was until i looked up the guide of how to start this game (I had to install something additional by clicking on the game and i forgot the exact steps, but now there's a screen you click on before you start) BUT once I got it working, it has played flawlessly. I feel like a kid again. This game slaps. It was annoying getting it started but once you do, it's hard to stop. Music 11/10 Graphics: 11/10 amazing for their day (faces still great on the furries, arms look like noodles) Story: 11/10 (best sonic story to date, nuttin' comes close) Nostalgia: 11/10 (take me back and keep me there) Chaos 11/10 (now you too can be a top tier chao raceist!) Rouge 11/10 (love me some polygons) Knuckles 11/10 (tough as nails) Shadow (loves latinas, as should everyone/ mucho edgy) Sanic 1/10 (shadow ripoff/low effort clone) Eggman 11/10 (he's got the master plan and a great theme) Tails 11/10 (The kitsune. A 10 year old genius with guns and lazer beamz) Amy, E102, and BIG the cat 11/10 (They're not playable but they're there and that's good enough for me!) If you don't mind going through all the fun of just starting this broken, but smooth once it runs, port, then its great. If not, you can always refund it. But as a busy man, I would still say worth it for the joy I forgot this game gave me. For those who have never played this, I've played all the current sonic games and this still beats em out easy. It peaked here. They need a SA3. "SAYYYY GUH"! P.s.- That treasure hunting leveling you gotta do in 5 minutes before Eggman goes all middle east on it was a GREAT time. (completed it with 5 seconds to spare after some double digit trys).

A classic, awesome characters, music, gameplay, and story, highly recommend

Sonic adventure 1 has better gameplay but storywise this game is superior. Tails voice actor pisses me off please go back in time and make sure that the voice actor cant talk anymore...

Thought running this game would be easier than its predecessor...Boy was I SO wrong. Semi-Constant freezing and having to limit my monitor to 60hz is bad enough, but now even with borderless gaming enabled my game still has problems tabbing out sometimes. The game itself is good so far, but the port its binded with is so horrible to work around.

Played the living piss outta this on Gamecube as a kid. Just as fun now as it was then and the camera controls are just as infuriating as I remember.

I love Sonic, and most people do too. And everyone says SA2 is the best Sonic games ever. So I played it. And let me tell you, if you are a fan of Sonic, you will love it, and if you don't like Sonic you will still love it. This games has great gameplay across 3 different gameplay styles, an amazing story, and amazing music. Its all you want in a game! 10/10 Live and Learn!

100% prefer the battle port than the organic game's controls for some reason? anyway its a decent port. can't really complain. glad i can play it on my computer now. technology is amazing

I never really played the Sonic games before and decided to change that. And I'm glad I did, this game is amazing, it holds up pretty well, has an enjoyable story and fun gameplay (though treasure missions can be tedious). When it comes to the soundtrack though, that's where this game is special, constant bangers and unique themes for each character. Special shout-out to Shadow too, I loved his character arc and can't wait to see more of him as I venture further into these games!

It works really well on the SteamDeck to be honest. The colours used in this green are very primal. Deep hard green, sky blue, hard red. This is AMAZING on the OLED screen. It's a better experience than it used to be in the 00's on the Gamecube, and that says a lot
