This game is the pinnacle of style in sonic games and I would love to see this kind of style replicated or surpassed in future installments, overall an amazing experience, been a fan of the series for a while and this game holds a special place for me. Very few bugs and crashes (still holds up to this day), also shadow is peak.

Please use the mod manager, the port by itself isn't the best but with the mod manager it is the best port of the game.

Sonic Adventure 2 is still one of the best games in the franchise, but this port is fundamentally broken without mods. Pre-rendered cutscenes won’t play, the opening cutscene crashes my entire system at random, in engine cutscenes are often missing facial animations and lighting effects, and the sound effects in the knuckles and tails sections are how even louder than they were in the original GameCube version. Thankfully the modding community for Sonic is excellent but for $10 I expect a game that functions when it launches.

this game is not like the reviews say it is. this game is incredibly confusing and difficult. at times i even needed a youtube tutorial to get a power-up needed to beat a level, so any time spent on the level before that was just me being stuck. the bosses feel really weird with how they are spread out, at times you'd get back to back bosses and there is gaps between bosses that are even seven levels! another thing is, you count even put your mouse as the control that turns your screen. the only thing someone could like the game is the music that is already on youtube to listen to. do NOT buy!

I played this game way back in the day when I was kid back on the Nintendo Gamecube It was a blast back then and I'm glad I was able to play it again. The nostalgia is real with this one, the soundtrack takes me back to when things were better when there wasn't anything to worry about just getting home from school grabbing a bowl of cereal and sitting in front of the tv. God I wish I could go back to those days. To those of us who had those fond childhood memories this is the perfect injection of nostalgia to bring back those vibes.

Even in 2025 i consider this the perfect modern Sonic games. On top of amazing game mechanics; the ability to play all the characters on both sides gives it such an enriching feel.

This game is unplayable without mods. By default the game runs at the same framerate as the monitor and the physics are processed acording to the framerate. So by default my game was running more than 2 times faster than it was supposed to. Sega should be ashamed of that port while it's simple to fix it I shouldn't be required to install third party software on my pc that I don't know the origin of. Beside that it's a great game.

Awesome game, but alas, sometimes freezes and crashes. I also needed to open the game via local files, instead from the Steam Launcher to play the game. Wish this issue is resolved soon! Please leave me some suggestions on how to fix this issue for smooth gameplay.

sonic, look out, the fighters are bombing you, wait no, the missile you are on is launching, wait no, you need to get to the shuttle in the pyramid, wait no, the island is gonna blow up, wait no, gun is going to run you over with a truck, wait no, eggman is going to blow up the world with his laser and you need to stop him, wait no, you need to fight the hedgehog who swings the other way, wait no, you need to fight the nightmare lizard in the core of the space station next to the mechanical beating heart at the end of the sand slide inside the space colony, wait no, you need to fight the nightmare lizard but now hes embedded himself into the ark and is going to crash it into the earth! 10/10 game
