The game's controls are very clunky. I'd to use both keyboard/mouse and controller to navigate my way through the game. When in base, use a controller to save yourself some sanity, and in combat, switch to keyboard/mouse. The story and writing is a snooze-fest, the combat is not engaging, and the lack of in-game resources makes this game a slog. I bought this game with a 75% discount, and I still don't think it's even worth that. If you want to give this a game a try, wait for at least 90% off sale. Not sure how to add a spoiler tag, but permanently losing two main characters late in the game after spending hours levelling them is truly diabolical. Congratulations for spending time and resources investing in your characters! We're going to get rid of them so you can be stuck with your under-levelled folks. It wouldn't be so terrible if grinding for levels in this game wasn't such a chore. What's the point of adding more characters to the roster if you cannot level them up to keep them active. It's not like swapping them out is an option unless you want to spend 10+ hours repeating side-missions. Sorry, can't recommend this. I appreciate what it was trying to do in terms of combat game-play, but just didn't cut it for me.

The Game has an interesting story and not too bad mechanisms of control. If you have played turned based strategies and enjoy them, you should enjoy this game as well.

Playing the demo for this game does not provide an accurate account of what's to come in the full version. The full version started off ok like the demo, but eventually turned into an awful experience for me. The main reason is that the casual mode difficulty becomes anything but casual as soon as you start facing boss battles. Even on the lowest so-called "casual" difficulty, bosses have multiple health bars that take numerous attacks to deplete. Then once the first health bar is depleted, bosses revive themselves and you have another health bar to take down. Bosses also always appear in groups with other tough enemies that keep respawning. These battles can drag on for an inordinate amount of time and they constantly ended in defeat for me. Repeating the same boss battles over and over again is not what I call "casual" gameplay. Another issue with this game is that the entire experience looks and feels very arcady and mobile game like. Characters are also anime style and very boring. Voice acting is also only partial phrases that often make very little sense in relation to the dialogue. You also can only upgrade and purchase items such as weapons and bracelets. You cannot easily upgrade or purchase armor or gear. You must instead complete a certain mission and build a forge in order to enhance your armor. And you also seem to never have enough money to purchase anything that would make a difference in the game anyway. I also found the dialogue and story to be extremely dull and uninteresting and I found myself constantly skipping through most of it. The turn-based battles also got to the point of being very repetitious, boring, and not enjoyable after a while. You also cannot save during battles, which means you must repeat the entire level and all battles in that level when you are defeated by a boss. Overall, I did not enjoy my time spent with this game so I therefore cannot recommend it.
