I think it's a pretty decent game.
I see a lot of hates cause it's something new and mobile-ish, but Dodge Roll tried something new with their own assets, and they're pretty fun. Especially, if you get it when it's on sale, it's dirt cheap. So...

I love it. It's a more arcade version of Enter the Gungeon. It's shorter and simpler, and it focus way more on the action than the previous. There is no down time between rooms, since you stay in the same room and the enemies all come at you.
You also don't have to stop to sort all your gun and worry about ammo, which might be a problem for some people, but it gives the player the experience of focusing on the action more often, and keep the pace of the action.
it also helps differentiate this game from the first. it might not be better, but i like it more actually. it gives you a different flavor of the previous game, like how it is a side-scrolling game instead of a top-down, which i also prefer.
And the floors have way more variety between them, unlike the previous game, it even gives totally new floors to all the different characters.
My main problem is how absurdly easy this game is, i've barely died during my playthrogh, and it mainly comes from how many heart upgrade the game gives you.

The game just simply does not compare with the first, the gameplay and the dodge roll are not ruined per say, but are infinitley lower quality. just but the first one.

nothing like the first game, but still pretty good.
I honestly think that this game was just made to give an end to the main characters and other npc, wich i think is good but not really necessary.
7/10 i liked the art style

Exit the Gungeon isn't as good as Enter the Gungeon, but you shouldn't expect it to be. It's a fun spinoff that costs less and is meant to be a shorter experience. I enjoy this game and I think Enter the Gungeon enjoyers might like it to if they give it a chance.

This game feels a lot more "random" than EtG
get to floor 2 and have a item for 350 coin in the shop even if you haven't spent a single coin and perfected every boss up to that point you can't afford it
get a quest for a npc item complete 2 runs without getting a single minigame for a "chance" to get the item
its a fun little timewaster game especially if you enjoy achievement hunting
but the content of this game is only available by endless grinding fueled by rng
you see the content when the game wants you to regardless of how good you're at the game
this is reaffirmed by the lack of updates from the devs compared to EtG
having to rewatch the same animations prior to fighting the dragun and being forced to defeat the octopus risking your entire run over and over again despite the lack of reward really sets it in
there could've been something really great here but it's obvious that this is the same game with less complexity, meaning, or purpose
