If you need to censor the PC version to get it to consol make a consol exclusiv version instead.

In the past I would have recommended the game. At this point I would never recommend the product for 2 main reasons.
Reason 1:
This is one of the few games where its journey through early access into "full 1.0 release" has somehow taken more away from the game than it has added. Yes, more maps have been added (as DLC, 3 maps per, some cosmetics, and a few gun options), but SO MUCH game play has been removed. Suspects used to be more dynamic, hide in closets, take cover behind objects, etc. Now they laser you from pixel peak angles down a hallway and resist arrest while you're slamming them with pepperballs, beanbags, and gas grenades. The AI in early access was not perfect either, but all the players asked for were the AI to be toned down in terms of how accurate they were, and the fact that they were oddly aggressive across the board (there wasn't a ton of difference in enemy behavior in some of the AI updates). Instead, we lose a lot of the dynamic behaviors of the suspects, and lose the feeling of civilians acting realistically (like hiding in a closet because you are scared).
On top of the AI slowly going downhill in terms of engaging gameplay, we also had large swaths of content removed from the game when they removed the ability to choose the mission type on the map you are playing. You now get a single mission type per map.....and no way to play the content that used to be there (like hostage modes, bomb diffusal, active shooter, barricaded suspects, etc.) All of that is gone from the game now in the name of "story" meanwhile it could have been made a different mode, or at least provided for use in multiplayer.
So the point I am making with reason 1, is that the game has created more maps, but has slowly gutted more and more content from the game.
Reason 2:
The censorship of a game that the developers themselves said would not be censored. They literally broke ties with their publisher to not censor their game. YET, we see the pursuit of money is too important to stick to your word. Apparently the PC playerbase that has been buying your game, buying your DLC, supporting your kickstarter, is just not enough money? We can apparently go get fucked because we aren't enough money for VOID and thus, everything we already paid means literally nothing. We get our product altered and the quality of future content pre-censored because they want to specifically pursue a physical release (this was not needed if they went digital release). So in short, this is a money decision they made because you, as a player on steam, mean literally nothing to them.
Do not give them what they want and buy this game. Play something that hopefully wont continue to be gutted by the developers like 6 Days in Fallujah or Ground Branch

Censorship aside, this game is just dogshit. I had most levels completed with S tier, and the new update wiped everything not to mention it broke all mods.
The AI is somehow worse than it was before, graphics look bad even on max settings, and the shadows are fucked. Team AI also got fucked.
Also, as of me writing this review, you literally can't play with your friends because when you try to host a friends only game, it gives you an error message.
This console slop is not the game I bought.

This is Shane's fault, talked about the extremes of the game then BAM! Censored. Great. Whats next? confetti head-shots? LOL.

Putting the censorship aside, downgrading the graphics 4 years after it goes into early access and 2 years after full release is crazy. They spent years making the AI actually decent. Now its just as bad as the early access period. The console release killed this game's core playerbase.

I got this game for the brutal realism and complex themes. Censorship defeats the entire point.

the console release had effects on the pc version that we were not made aware of, and are not in any patch notes, graphical downgrades, large amounts of censorship, and ai generated assets, absolutely shameful, do better.

This game was a gem, I dont care about the censorship, but here is what the game changed without telling the player base:
-AI is now completely broken
-AI generated content in most mission to replace previous ''offensive'' content.
-Downgraded graphics
-Broken achivements that unlock even if you don't finish the mission
-Enemy John wicks that are invincible
-day 1 bugs like enemies stuck in walls, really sucks when trying to do achievements like do the whole game in commander without dying/losing a teammate
-Friendlies just downright executing civilians because an enemy is close to them (not a hostage situation)
-Friendlies shooting each other or yourself
-spawning in a mission and the enemy just commits suicide
-spawning in a mission and already getting shot at when the black fade is done
-spawning in a mission and enemy walks in their own trap (which kills civilians but not the enemies (they cannot die to traps, what a lazy way to fix your shitty AI)
-sound breaks every 3 or 4 games, need to restart the game to fix it
-multiplayer has desync
-sniper enemies that shoot you trough not penetrable surfaces
-last enemy often ''knows'' where you are in order to come to you, very often will one tap you and your team, see facebook/instagram for 200 clips of that.
and much more
I Loved this game and did every achievement, every patch, got at least 8 of my friends to buy this game, was hyped for the patch even with the censorship.
Holy Fkin Shit did VOID drop the ball, please revert to last patch in terms of AI and gameplay.
insane.
was 9/10
is now 3/10
