Then you sell potions to everyday customers - who will often have more sophisticated requirements, and satisfying their needs for more coin will take a few extra detours. This game has more to offer than meets the eye. The number of obtainable ingredients with different properties is quite impressive, but the system remains intuitive to follow. The main gaming loop requires you to micromanage your basic activities - from growing herbs in the garden to arranging bookmarks in your recipe book. And this game makes micromanagement incredibly satisfying, thanks to its depth of customization, vibrant, reactive assets, and tactile gravity physics. The game's art style truly begins to shine once you can afford workshop expansions and redundant clutter, that you can freely arrange in Build Mode. With all that, the game really scratches that perfectionist itch by letting you control almost all arrangements in your workshop. And there's a lot to discover on the way. The end goal is - as always has been - the Magnum Opus, which will take much more effort to develop than all the potion-related quests. You will need to work hard to upgrade the workshop, gain trust of the merchants, and develop the ultimate alchemist's reputation... for good or ill.
