this game definitely deserves more recognition

If you've got a decent PC, like nice graphics with phenomenal art designs and are fully into solving riddles again and again - and again, again, again, this game might be for you. Besides it makes you think about more than just riddles and might even touch and/or provoke you while questioning your own world view. It's got some edges, though, check other reviews if you aren't sure of course. Most of them didn't bother me, I can't report crashes nor any other hard issues. I just had and still have a great time playing it.

You find yourself surrounded by robots loving cats, pretending to be humans and trying to find out where their creators are and what happend with the world? Then you are probably diving into the world of The Talos Principle 2. A world full of philosophy, beautiful landscapes and puzzles. Usually I'm not so good in solving puzzles (although I like them) but this game and the story always keeps me being curious in going on exploring story and world and even wanting more of puzzles. Every step I solve feels very rewarding for me. And if you are stucked, there are many good videos on the internet showing you the way. Often I found myself very close to the next step of solution. Walking between the puzzles through the beautiful landscapes feels relaxing and often breathtaking, finding myself just thinking: "Wow, who build this?". So wonderful what the designers have done. Everything is made with a lot of details in environment. The soundtrack and background music is calming, relaxing and somehow ethereal and makes wandering through the landscapes even more beautiful. And it fits and turns around according to the story and what is happening around you. You can turn it of if it bothers you too much or you lost focus. The story and surrounding reflects deep thoughts about humanity itself. Progress, politics, science, philosophy, balance, nature, reality, beauty, meaning of the individual, universe itself and meaning of life. There are a lot of quality texts and audiologs within surrounding your personal story in this place and world. Incredible work! Awesome gaming experience!

Ein guter Teil 2 mit schöner Grafik und jeder Menge Puzzles. Viele Laufwege und ständig das Hinterfragen, ob man alles entdeckt hat. Story wieder mystisch, kann man aber ignorieren und einfach so puzzlen.

Ein absolutes Meisterwerk! Spannende Puzzles, interessante Story, wunderschöne Landschaften und traumhafte Musik - in jedem Detail steckt merklich viel Liebe und Begeisterung der Entwickler. Ein würdiger Nachfolger des ersten Teils, der mich ebenfalls sehr begeistert hat.

Ein Puzzlespiel das nicht frustriert aber fordert, eine großartige Geschichte erzählt, zum Denken anregt, wunderschöne Umgebungen hat und gleichzeitig anregend und entspannend wirkt? 10/10

Besides it being an awsome philosophical collage, I love the brutalist level design. It's very cool.
