Fun game, I really hope it's because of my GPU/CPU/RAM whatever and not the usual Japanese Anime unoptimized game experience that the fights would slow down when YOU attack but are at normal speed for the enemies attacks, made the battles unnecessary difficult at times. Nonetheless it's a good pass time for a couple of hours and if you get it in discount it's even better.

I wanted to love this game but it kept crashing before I could even get to the gameplay. I tried everything. I have a 3070ti and an overall amazing pc- no reason for it.

the game is way too short and honestly even with it on sale for 5 bucks I still wouldn't recommend this. You have to go through story mode to even unlock multiplayer and ranked. The fights don't even get more difficult as you progress in the story all they do is add more health more defense more attack to the enemy and also throw in multiple enemies with a wonky switch target feature that for some reason they don't teach you about during the tutorial that they force you to do and wait for the character to finish his entire monologue before allowing to even figure out the next set of controls for the game its really more of a hack and slash then it is a fighter imo. Id only say grab this game if it was free or if you and a buddy don't care about it being 5 bucks and just wanna enjoy the anime and fight each other but other then that don't recommend.

Honestly wish this game did better when it first came out. There's a ton of cool things about it, but at the same time a lot to be desired. The roster is criminally short compared to all of the powered up characters we see in the actual anime/manga. I don't mind the simplicity of the combat that this arena fighter has, but the rock paper scissors mechanic is awful, especially against bots and the fact that if you don't managed to pull it off successfully 3 times, you don't get to even attempt to use the character's coolest finisher. The story and modes are all good and I enjoyed playing each sister perspective in the story. Maybe one day, Kill la Kill will get another chance at getting a really great and in-depth game, but this so far isn't too bad. Remake, remaster, or a mashup game like the jump force series, whatever the case may be, I just hope the roster doesn't consist of only main characters.
