the story was really cool and i liked emirs story as it progressed through the game, the gameplay was really fun, was really fun to shoot enemies and go through levels. Lots of cool moments too which i really appreciated. Really dig the artstyle as well and the character design just hits right for me. Definitely feels like some neo-noir film. Love it.

A really fun fever dream once you understand its janky controls.
Decent puzzles, enemy variety across the levels and a rather unique setting / gameplay keeps the whole game interessting. Was really surprised by how much fun it was at the end.
What I really enjoy is that the game doesn't tell you much. Iwazaru and Yoon-Hyun provide hints here and there but some stuff needs to be figured out by yourself (which includes game-relevant mechanics like hidden abilities from the characters).

The best game I played last year. Do you like weird games? Do you like really really weird games? Do you want to play a game where nobody is the good guy? Do you want to play a game where you need to read a book to understand what happens in it but actually all the book does is create more questions? Yes? Get Killer7 then.

I got this game pretty much only knowing the bare minimum. It was a weird shooter cult classic that YouTubers recommend every now and then. I am also somewhat familiar with Suda51 after playing all the No More Heroes games, so I wanted to try some of his other titles. He has a love-it or hate-it reputation with people, that's how you know he's an "artist" lol.
First chapter of Killer7 and I honestly hated how weird everything was. Third-person... but on-rails!? Combat's first-person with the left analog stick!? Also, is Killer7 a group or one person or multiple people within one person or...
Anyways, I decided to keep playing and eventually adjusted to things pretty quickly. By the second chapter, I vibed with the weirdness of it all an came to accept it as an avant-garde weird as hell experience. The controls, though unconventional, started to feel more and more natural the more I played the game. The story was still very much a fever dream from beginning to end, but it's the type of story where you theorize the meaning of everything by the end of it.
I definitely recommend playing it if you're interested in something weird with a story that's more up to interpretation.
