This game has everything - an excellent and compelling story line - one of the most detailed and beautiful worlds, - excellent war mechanics, - loads of weapon choices. - engaging rpg world - flashy combat - mythical creatures - ship battles - choices and consequences This is one of my favourite games i have ever played. Make sure you play as kassandra cos the voice actress nails every line perfectly. also the first blade dlc is also an excellent addition and ties this game to AC franchise .

AC Odyssey is huge. Like, absurdly huge. Ancient Greece looks amazing, combat is fun, and those who love collecting, you never will collect everything. But just when you think you’re done, the Atlantis DLC hits you with another 30+ hours of gods, mythological creatures, and questioning if you accidentally started a whole new game. 100% achievements done, would start up New Game + up too.

Why the hell can I not launch this single player game while I have no internet? I get a little popup from Ubisoft saying it can't "synchronise achievements" ... this game is 7 years old now, who cares? Who cared on launch? It's stupid

I played it in 2018. game was running great on high settings 60-70fps 1440p GTX1080ti. I played all ac games except "Shadow and Mirage" and for me personally my second fav ac game. Great story with great voice acting and beautiful world. 10/10

This game is shockingly good. This is the first Assassin's creed game I've played and so my base reference for how good they were was basically people making fun of Ubisoft. So I absolutely did not anticipate just how obsessed I would become with it. Ancient Greece has become one of my favorite settings of all time, to the point where I've started reading Herodotus, as well as the odyssey and illiad by Homer. The beauty of the open world really shocked me. While playing I would occasionally be stunned by a vista and just stand there for a while absorbing it. Mykonos especially with its clear blue waters and star lit nights was breathtaking. As for the story: Kassandra has become one of my favorite protagonists. She has a great personality and it works really well with the cast of historic characters you interact with. If anything I wish it was a little more like a bioware RPG where you got to interact with more of you crew over the course of a game. It's definitely not a perfect game, there are places where the limited time and budget break the illusion of being in classical greece. Repeated wall mural textures, boring AF randomly generated NPC missions, a lot of copy pasted military bases. I really wish it had been given an extra year of dev time to make it really shine. Still, what's here is great and is the best way to experience the world of ancient Greece. The setting does a lot of heavy lifting and elevates it above a standard open world ARPG and into something memorable and unique. Highly recommend especially since it goes on sale for 15$ or less Edit: PS: unless you're trying to 100% the game I highly recommend skipping legacy of the first blade because it's absolutely terrible.

Incredibly addicting. If I ever get amnesia, first thing I'm doing is playing this game from the beginning. I'm very picky with my games and don't tend to enjoy lore-heavy games but the story had me hooked from the beginning. Combat, graphics, story, everything is just amazing. I bought the two DLCs after about 140 hours because I didn't want the game to end.

You kill cyclopses, you kill minotaurs, you slay kings and gods, but in the main quest, I’m running around doing errands to get OIL just so that person can talk to me? The quest design is a complete MALAKA -the atmosphere and environment were so immersive that there were moments when I forgot to actually play. I recommend playing it, if we exclude the side quests.

So... I think this is their masterpiece. I continually return to replay this game (as you can see from the hours on my profile). An amazing - staggering - open world, vibrant and seemingly never-ending. Night and day cycles and the world sparkles and fades - dawn and dusk are particularly beautiful. The research and attention to detail is incredible. History, myth, legend, all wrapped up in an adventure - the combat is great, the ship combat and mechanics are great - I really can't praise this game enough. Kassandra is my *all time* favourite character to play as. There may be some bugs and glitches, possibly some gameplay annoyances, but these are nothing when you're immersed in the world and the story. Btw, I really don't need my graphics to be better than this. Stunning.
