Where do I even begin with this dumpster fire masquerading as a fighting game? SNK Heroines tag team frenzy is a lazy, half baked cash grab that insults both the legacy of SNK and the intelligence of anyone unfortunate enough to play it. The combat is so dumbed down, it feels like it was designed for toddlers who’ve never held a controller. No combo depth, no real skill expression, just mindless button mashing until someone’s health bar (which is already a joke) finally depletes. The tag system is pointless. There’s no strategy, no synergy just switch when you’re about to die and prolong the suffering. It’s like SNK thought slapping a "tag team" label on this mess would distract players from the fact that the gameplay is shallower than a puddle in the desert.
Then we got the fanservice that even fans will hate, yes, SNK, we get it, you wanted to sell this game on "waifus" alone. But did you have to make the character models look like cheap knockoffs from a mobile gacha game? The outfits are ridiculous (even by anime standards), and the constant moaning and awkward voice lines make it feel less like a fighting game and more like a bad H game that forgot to include the actual porn. This game feels like it was rushed out the door with zero QA testing. And don’t even get me started on the online dead on arrival, just like the rest of this trainwreck.
The fact that this game dared to ask for full AAA pricing at launch is nothing short of theft. There’s less content here than in most free to play titles, yet SNK had the audacity to charge premium money for what feels like a half baked tech demo.
If you want a good allfemale fighter, play Dead or Alive 5, 6 or Skullgirls. But for the love of gaming, do not waste your time on this lazy cash grab.
