Tales of Arise Reviews

That was a fantastic adventure, it was my first Tales game and I will for sure check the other entries in the series out. It kept me on the edge of my seat for the whole story. 10/10

when i first played Tales of Berseria, i didnt know anything about the games but i slowly grew to enjoy it over time, now having played Tales of Arise, i very much loved the base game and the character progression/dialogue growth (my personal favorite was Rinwell, who is such a adorable character.) This base game would have to be a 9.5 overall rating, in my humble opinion.

I love this game, its really good. 10/10 story, gameplay, cutscene, etc. AWESOME GAME!!!!

Very well made adventure. Starts off slow first 10 or 15 hours but once you have the 3rd character join it picks up the pace. 36 hours in the story and game play are very good. Be frugal with your items and gald. Graphics are good also. Story so far is the strong point. Enjoy the ride

Took me like 3 years to actually beat this game. Super addicting combat, way too many cut scenes and dialogue scenes for my liking. They are skip-able however. Good game

If there was a neutral option for recommendation I will rather give that. Anyways so far even the First Boss has way too much HP, oneshot you if he hit you. Like I be playing for like 30 min yet his health might not even be 60%. As for Quality of Life features, they can add restarting the boss fight mid way, if there is no chance of winning. They can also add level requirements before you can fight the boss. Note that this is my first impression review, I might change it later.

Currently not finished and reviewed after 25 hours played so far but will be updated soon after finishing it off. I’ve been on and off this game for a while (years). But it’s good to be back on it after being burnt out from other games. You can play this game as a standalone no problem. I've been a huge fan of JRPG games since the 90s. I find this to be a great tales game so far. The modern anime style and visuals are GREAT! The gameplay is great, it's part of a JRPG. The voice acting is great! English is great. The downside is, I get annoyed by the voices during the battlefield, and get annoyed repeatedly. No way to turn off the voice in battle, people shouting over each other constantly but that’s part of Tales series. The enemies are getting too much HP and are too long to fight on normal mode, but when I set it to Very Easy mode, it becomes less HP, and I spend less time on the battlefield, kinda balanced it out and more enjoyment. That’s the reason why I stopped playing on and off but easy mode, thank god for that and no, there’s no difficulty achievements from this game, feel free to change the difficulty setting anytime. I bought the DLC story because I love this game so much. One of the best Tales of series I’ve played so far because of Visuals updated, voice acting, etc.

Steam lies because I played in offline mode. I have over 20 hours in this game, and each one was well spent. The story is decent, the graphics look nice even when put at low enough settings to run on my intel onboard graphics, and the gameplay is fun. What more do you need? A banger soundtrack? Well actually it's got that too.

I think the last Tales of game I played before this was Eternia on the PS1, I remember dying so many times to common enemies in that game and I just fell off. I've bought several in the years since and played for a few hours just to fall off, Beseria, and some other one supposedly connected? I loose track. The story was.... okay, characters had nice arcs of development and the chemistry between them and all that. Combat was a bit clunky feeling and the frequent cut ins that yank you out focus was a bit jarring, also the dungeon quality suddenly felt like it dipped in the last quarter somehow, not a big minus but it was an issue for me, I do feel like the tales classic mechanic of characters having random conversation while you traverse the map was something I missed, those are nice.

Loving each minute. It's quite dark and but amazing anyway. Like it was told to me, play it and get amazed!
