This game gives me the same kind of excited vibe I had as a kid playing on the SNES and getting "somewhere" with my games. Progression is good fun, music is really bloody good, graphically it's pretty gorgeous, and the controls feel smooth, I don't have the fastest reflexes in the world so this isn't as punishing or as precise as certain other platform games, but I'm having an absolute ball playing it! The moves are glorious and I feel things unlock at a pace that isn't overwhelming or too much to take in. The character designs are quite lovely, I am very fond of the bearded gnome-y dwarf-y things. They're cute! I absolutely recommend this game for a modern sense of nostalgia.
