If ever there was a Fallout 76 equivalent of a TS2018 DLC, then surely this must be it. Even on a SALE, its felt like I had been ripped off. Now that should tell you something. The only reason you would buy this is to finish the EDBGH - LNDN Line. The devs knew this, and basically produced the worst route to date for this game. Just no effort was made. Their manual does not even have a list of stations or a crude map of how the stations are linked together. Yes not even a list of stations people... The scenery is featureless, driving past meadow upon meadow interspersed by same bridge you pass beneath in repeated iterations. They even managed to make the Quick Drive dull, as there is no way of stopping at any of the stations between York and Peterborough. Nope- Its 90 minutes of you fighting to stay awake as the same houses and meadows lull you into a light coma. I own just about all the UK Routes, and there is no contest : For a 2018 DLC - that looks like it was made 10 years ago, this one easily walks away with the Raspberry award for worst Train Simulator route ever. ON the plus side, it boasts frequent AI traffic. That is - the same Intercity train passing you every other minute, in a bid not to make it interesting, but to make sure you stay awake through every tedious second of this excuse of a moneygrab. Would not want to drive this again, even if I was given it free. Save yourself the trouble, cause the developers definitely did exactly that.

No. Just no. This is the kind of quality you expect from a RailWorks route, not from something released in Twenty-Friggin'-Eighteen. It looks butt-ugly, the rails are poorly laid (yay for abrupt curvature changes!) and is not worth §30 by any stretch of the imagination. I was expecting the same level of detail as the London - Peterborough section from a few years ago, but that is not what you are getting. Avoid. Dovetail should be ashamed of this product. At least the vehicles are nice! BECAUSE THEY ARE RECYCLED FROM OTHER ADDONS.

This is bad, Creative Rail did this and put it on steam, even at the discount of £17 odd it's a mess. I can't load the scenarios even though I have all the stock. I had hoped that waiting they might have fixed the issues, clearly not. It's not worth the full price.

bought this in the sale not so long ago where to begin? absolutely the worst route i have ever played in train sim .the tracks are from the base game from years ago look horrendous the trains are garbabge kuju stock that you cant change the scenery is bland .how on earth they have the nerve to charge £ 24.99 for this is beyond me they should be virtually giving it away in my opinion. tried to claim a refund from steam only to be told ive apparently played over 17 hours on this so they refused. i played about 30 mins .please dont waste your money on this .

Well, it's a newer version of TS route. Can say it's neither best nor worst, it's on middle, but at least it feels relaxing for me (the only feature that don't make it such relaxing as I expected - a security button that I need to press every 30 seconds or like that). Probably the catenary is not so perfect - there aren't any power stations, the overhead wire is straight and there aren't any temperature compensators. The only glitch I saw was a platform on the end of the route, but taking in account much more glitches on other routes (disappearing bridges and even gantries) - it's near to perfect. On the other hand - it runs smooth even on my laptop (yeah, no dynamic lighting), so for me it's OK. The main reason it interested me - just because of bundled HST 225 - I just wanted to test high speed traffic at some British and really long route without sudden 40 mph restrictions on middle. There are not so many bundled scenarios but I can feel free to download additional ones from the Steam Workshop.

This route is going to divide Trainsimmers. On the one hand the route is the missing link between London & Edinburgh assuming you have the just trains Newcastle -Edinburgh route. The drive is smooth and with good frame rates as increasingly so much is being packed into routes that frame rate suffers.A good mix of scenarios with freight featuring in several scenarios.and at £17.49 for a 112 mile route it seems fair enough. However the rails are clearly from a few years back, don`t get me wrong not really a problem but it depends on your expectations,Scenery is nothing special but then since a lot of the route is through country side there is a limit to just putting things in just to lower the frame rate.If it ain`t there don`t invent it. The areas around Doncaster and York i think look good and when driving through Doncaster at 100mph still did not suffer a drop in frame rate..Overall for the money i think it is good value. Not the best package ever released but not the worst either. ps A question for you cleverer people.I note an earlier reviewer mentioned driving London-Newcastle on quick drive but i cannot see how to do it.I have all the sections of route. If there is an answer i would love to know it.can you join them together to do this?? Thanks for any advice.

I don't normally make reviews but felt I had to with this, I bought this when it was discounted after some 'oohing' and 'ahhhing'. All the negative reviews don't make the decision easy. Straight up - this is NOT worth the full price but what route is these days. Not many. The rails look like something just invented in the Iron Age (look carefully for a caveman Fat Controller). People are complaining about the barren scenery. Err, it's mainly travelling through English countryside. What do you want? Being able to see Mr Kipling's cottage or a load of skyscrapers? It's not overly complicated but I think that's actually a good thing. Firstly, the FPS. This route is NOT an FPS killer. Devs seem to be piling on more and more scenery. Looks nice but FPS takes a hit unless you have an uber computer. This route runs as smooth as a Galaxy Caramel. Even at 125mph. Usual TS stutters but all in all - FPS GOOD. Secondly, this is a High Speed Route - It's not made to be as gorgeous as some people expect it to be. And because FPS is not affected the sensation of speed is there. The Class 91 included is a good unit to have. You might buy the Class 66 for the umpteenth time though. Why DTG insist on including that piece of junk in all their routes is criminal. I've tried the APT-P on this route and it runs like a dream! In conclusion - don't expect majestic views of the English countryside or a route to get all those luscious looking screenshots. This is not the route for that. This route is for you if you want to zoom at high speed on long stretches without a low speed restriction in sight. Perfect for testing high speed of all your trains. Worth it at discount, not at full price. I'm happy with it,

Ignore the reviews. Its fine, the route is accurate, they did a great job. What these whiny perfectionist fanboys don't understand is that there will always be mistakes. The tracks are fine, it's done to scale and the locomotives look great. So what if a damn signal is 5m out of place. Shut up, its pathetic. appreciate what you've got. Its a good high quality route. Some of the reviews make me want to cry of laughter and second hand embarrassment for these guys writing em! Hahaha. It's worth it. Just shut up and drive a damn train.

REALLY DTG, REALLY!!! are you even being serious right now? This is your most recent DLC and it looks like it should have come out when the game was still called Railworks. This DLC is sooooo bad, it is actually a joke, and an expensive one too. Let me begin with the trains. They are all old reused models! They arent even updated to modern standards. The Class 91 is annoying, it has an alarm (not sure what its called) that goes off every so often and if your not in the cab when it goes off, oh boi are you in for a suprise. The only thing i like about it is the dirt across the passenger windows, it makes it look like its actually used, however just dont even bother going into passenger mode because its not that great. The Class 47 is from the european asset pack, and its not even updated, so you know what to expect. The HST is also from the european asset pack, only it has no passenger view now. The Class 159 is just a reskin of the 159 from the Settle to Carlisle, and the Class 66 is probably the only ok train there is, i mean its not exactly like theres a tuff competition here. Anyway its ok i guess, however its not the V2 version. The sounds for all the trains are not great and arent what you would expect for a 2018 DLC. Let me now talk about the map. Developed by Creative rail, its not too bad, however i still have few problems with it. The size of it is decent and can allow many oppertunities for scenario creaters, however many assets used in this DLC are from old assets pack, which i dont mind, if it didnt have such a large price tag. I know this DLC has been in development for several years now however it still feels rushed to an extent. The scenery is quite bland until you see the odd new asset. Now for the scenarios. They are way too busy. When you drive the nonstop express 91 to York, you litteraly see a train every 2 or 3 mins, and thats ok, however constanly seeing the same types of trains over and over again within the same scenario (thats lasts for 70 mins) gets really boring. It would have been nice if they tone it down a bit. Overall the map itself is ok and I think Creative rail has done a fantastic job on it (even with the meh parts) However its DTG that im most mad at. It would be a lot better if they actually put some effort in, given us better trains instead of the rubish ones from like 2013 and given it a LOWER price tag, instead of the £25 they are asking for. This could have been a good DLC, however once again DTG had to ruin it. Mr P

1. The York platform 6 marker is still not in the right place, nor is it long enough for a HST set. 2. Either a result of bad signalling, or the short platform marker, the train refuses to be routed out of the platform to Doncaster, or anywhere, unless the powercar is a significant way ahead of the signal. 3. Those red markers on the scenario editor in every station are annoying, someone get rid of them. The route is therefore no different from the original Creative Rail release, don't bother with this steaming pile until someone makes a fix for it.
