Superb rendition of a true classic of lightplane aviation. Highly detailed both inside and outside, textures are top notch. Flight dynamics true to the original, if I can judge this. One very stable long distance traveling aircraft. In spite of all details it is very framerate friendly. The optional tip tanks add a nice touch. Highly recommendable.

A good airplane with nice details that flies as you'd expect it. After flying equivalent sized aircraft, it's nice to fly an airplane in this category that has a full Auto Pilot with. I only fly in virtual cockpit mode and this plane has better textures for the instruments than some of the other Carenado products I own. This plane is quite nimble to handle -especially in a turn- which is no doubt due to decent modeling of it uncommon V rudder. I've never flown a real-life version, but the flight model does strike me as being accurate and I've haven't encountered any issues with it. It can be tricky to bleed off speed on decent and the audible landing gear warning which happens when the throttle is decreased below a certain threshold has been annoying, but my impression is that I probably just need more stick time with it.
If I had any complaints, it would be that the plane can be a bit squirrely for elevator trimming at high speeds, the included documentation and some of the included liveries aren't up to the standards of Carenado products. Being too skimpy with a good helping of grammatical errors, is something I've often encountered before with the documentation for Carenado products. The liveries are a bit of a surprise, as I've come to expect quality ones from this developer. That said it's only 2 of the 5 that I was disappointed with.
The very sensitive elevator trim is probably to be expected due to the plane having an elevator on each of the V rudder's tails. There's a reason why this product comes with a single page PDF solely dedicated to the instrument (AVSS) that sets the vertical speed and altitude for Auto Pilot. Learning it and using it, is a excellent way to counter the sensitive elevator trim at high speeds. Overly sensitive, or too pronounced elevator trim though, is IMO an issue with FSX across the board and this plane just seems to amplify that due to its real-world design. Speaking of high speeds, that's something this airplane has. Of all the aircraft in this size category I have installed, only the default Mooney Bravo is faster.
Overall, this is a nice airplane that any fan of private piloting will probably enjoy.

It has taken a few trials and some patience to get the feel of this plane. Initially I was not particularly impressed. I also fly the Beechcraft Duchess which I have come to really like. However, after a few trials and working on the customization of the cockpit view and the control and realism settings, I have settled in at a place where I have come to really appreciate this airplane as well. One thing that is especially favorable is that the view outside all windows is at the proper eye level for a functional virtual cockpit and it is the best that I have ever encountered. This has always been a difficulty for me, especially with pattern work. A proper and decent view wins strong points with me. The layout of the cockpit and panel makes a great workable combination (except Garmin GPS is an annoying space waster to me at my level of knowledge; I have an alternative GPS that is more efficient that I can place on top of it if needed). It took me a while to find the DME which I really need so this brings in a essential nav element that also caused initial consternation. The flight model seemed off also at the beginning but I have settings now that are responsive and realistic; just landed in a 30 kt crosswind at 7000' and it was quite a learning experience. Take some time to customize the response and layout of the cockpit/view and I hope will find a place that works for you also. A great partner for the Beechcraft Duchess if flying twins is appropriate for your style. Highly recommended, but the qualifier is 'finally', not initially.

I love it, but wish for a moving map display. Is there a click hidden for this? Otherwise, it's my favorite add-on.

Shift e 2 opens lugage door :) (second door) bit buggy in FSX, sometimes its shift e opens door then 2,3,4 etc depending on # of doors, this one seems to need shift e 2 each time, but wrorks and looks well. Very nice payware model, even has rust on small side window porthole trim...bit anoying the rust :) but does add a little bit of immersion since this plane design is from the 1956-62?...was way ahead of its time//178 knot cruise wow...still an amazing GA aircraft forsure...really enjoying this FSX model...shame FSW shutdown, hope game plan is to merge FSW (best parts) into FSX that would be fantastic...hint dovetail :)...was looking for the Malibu Mirage P46 model you get free in FSW...but this Bonanza V35B is very nice...they had em in flight school hanger back in the 90s all the student pilots used to talk about em ( the rich guys that owned them, Bonanza's and Moonies) wishing they could fly one, or train on one, including me...now thanks to SIMs like FSX you virtually can :) https://youtu.be/bFNJVElxHIs

Very disappointing overall. It's pretty, but it is super-buggy for me- it requires multiple reloads of the plane to get avionics half working. I own this airplane in X-plane as well, and it performs so much better on that platform.
It's very disappointing as I was hoping to do a comparison YT video between the two versions, but the FSX version is such a mess it's not worth the effort.

As a kid, I had a great uncle who owned one of these and I have always been fasincated with this little plane. Liked the add on. The sound is great. I am having problems with the 430 GPS where I cannot display a map view. I see that the description of the add-on states "Original GNS 430 GPS unit". Not sure what original means. Maybe no map display? Just curious if anyone know how to open the cargo/baggage door as indicated in the picture.

10/10 no doubt about it. Just like the real thing, handles really well doesn't slow down FPS. All of the switches work on the inside and its kinda aerobatic (although they don't use this bird for aerobatic purposes)
