no quick drive available.. no freeroam... nothing but 6 scenarios?? Glad I bought at 55% off.. now to get that refunded... this is a terrible offering for the funds requested..

Another awesome route by RSSLO. I must say that RSSLO spend a lot of time with scenery and I found this route very interesting and enjoyable. Well worth at full price. The Diesel locomotive is just awesome indeed.

Lovely route with memorable locations and gorgeous mountains. I couldn't reproduce the errors some other reviewers were experiencing, the route has Quickdrive and there is no missing tracks. It comes with a nice BR 245 Dieselelectric, good to control and fun to drive. PZB on this scenic route works like a charm. The route runs very smooth, a recommendation!

Potentially a great route with diesel power and decent trackage (which is a rarity for Germany-based routes) . Unfortunately, can't recommend it. The scenery is very dated, with atrocious 2D trees everywhere. Sometimes tracks laid on empty ground, which looks very unrealistic, or like in 2005. Standard scenarios are short and uninspiring, having only 20 minutes of driving or so. There's a lot of Intercity and local trains running in real life, namely, EC Munich-Zurich, which is a good source for end-to-end scenarios, unfortunately, developers didn't bother with it. Otherwise, it would be a great route, if greenery planted along the tracks, and 2d trees replaced with something more modern, at least, near the tracks where you can see details)

The quality of RSSLO's routes can vary greatly. Routes like Arlbergbahn (not to be confused with this route; Allgaubahn) and Bruck-an-der-Mur to Maribor are really stunning, and amongst the best in TS. This route, Allgaubahn definitely fits into the category of "not RSSLO's finest". It's a little lacking and bland in parts (which the real Allgau route is not!). However if you like German and Austrian routes, then Allgaubahn is still worth getting IMHO. But definitely best picked up on sale. There are (still!) issues with some of the Quickdrive routes, that have never been fixed or updated by RSSLO (at least not on this Steam version - they also sell the route on their own site, which is slightly different in content). That aside, the route works pretty well. Although some users are claiming speed restrictions that are no shown on the HUD - this is *not* a fault of the route; it is how German signalling works. As well as permanent line speeds, the signals can impose restrictions on speeds too; and these are not shown on the HUD ...... they could not be, as the TS HUD simply reads track speeds. If you learn the PZB signalling system properly, you'll learn how to spot these 'signal speeds' - they are shown on distant signals and you have plenty of time to slow down. Another highlight of this package is that the supplied BR 245 diesel loco is really quite nice. Not hugely feature-rich but it looks, sounds and drives really well. So don't dismiss Allgaubahn, if you're interested in German routes, just no that it certainly isn't RSSLO's best, and is probably best picked up while on sale.

It is such a nice route, but in Quickdrive a lot of track is missing!!! Also in other scenario's tracks are missing now and then. Spoils all the fun. [Update] It looks scenario related. In a new made Freeroam scenario all the track is there. And if it is, its such a nice flowing route. However I can not recommend it like this. DTG/RSSLO please fix it!
