After unlocking all the secrets and 1CCing the game with different characters, I can say that I enjoyed my time with Super XYX. The art style is super cool, the music is awesome and the gameplay is very smooth. There is a nice variety of modes and ships to play.
Also, you can change a lot of options in the settings menu, including rebinding your buttons.
One thing I would like to see improved is the practice mode. At the moment you can only select and replay stages. It would have been cool to be able to choose the boss of a particular stage.
The biggest flaw is the buggy state of the game. I randomly lost all my progress twice and had to unlock everything again. To this day, I don't really understand why this happened, but it seems that changing things in the options menu can mess up the game. So I spend most of my time with the Nintendo Switch version.
