Does not work in the IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad, and the key is nowhere to be found so I could enter it in the IL-2 Sturmovik-website. Have no trouble retrieveing old keys in other games on steam, so this must be fixed. only 1/5 of my DLC apears in the game, even though i've linked my Steam account with my IL-2 account.

The first mission of this "campaign" is a transfer of aircraft from one airfield to another, where you don't even get to take off. It takes 15-20 minutes to complete with a time rate factor turned up to max and there are zero threats, air or ground (this takes place at the Stalingrad front in 1942). And this, you pay for. You'll have a more entertaining and high fidelity air combat simulation by jumping on your bed for those 15 minutes.

NOTHING boils my blood as quickly as someone who hasn't got their rig, or software set up right, so leave a bad review. It's almost as stupid as stubbing your toe on a dining chair and sending the table and 4 chairs back to the manufacturer, as faulty. Come on guys, we're a fairly niche market us sim types, so we want to encourage more pilots, not make them think there's a chance it won't work. Rant over. Some software houses make DLC just to make a dollar, a few do so out of a sense of duty to their players, but seldom do we see - and actually 'feel' - the same amount of love and attention poured into DLC projects as 1C Game Studios put into their add-ons. It would take some fairly extensive keyboard bashing to fully do justice to this particular DLC, so for now I'll just tell you that Blazing Steppe - like most of 1C products - delivers on all fronts. Immersive, detailed and well crafted, are phrases that will forever be linked with 1C Game Studios. Next sale, I intend to expand on my collection and if your own priorities have immersion high on the list, then I can tell you that you will not be disappointeD. Update Feb 2023: Los Berkos, you owe me a new bed. :-)

Fun little campaign composing of 15 missions. Puts you in Yak-1 against vastry superior German fighters, so you'll be feeling a lot of pressure. This campaign actually conveys quite well the sensation of despair soviet airforce had to endure against overwhelming odds. It also teaches you to be vigilant and approach the encounters in different ways then you'd usually do in career mode. When tasked with escort of vital sturmoviks, don't get carried away in wild goose chases, tangling with enemy, as they do couple loops and leave you behind with superior engine performance. You have to stay with the targets, in fact, quite brutally use them as bait. Wait for Messers to descent for your attackers, slow down to shoot them, that's when you get to strike. Some missions put a lot of pressure on you, the others are chill for the most part, just to surprise you on the way back home, as hinted in campaign briefings. I liked it, worth it's price, which isn't steep.
