The best DLC for train simulator ever. The quality of the route is fantastic. I think the PZP system is a little bit simple, but that might be solved by using more advanced locomotives.

I 100% recommend this route. It is beautiful. The scenery is fantastic. The sounds of the trains are much better than most default sounds. I also recommend getting the extension if you can.

TS with this route almost feels like a new generation of the game. There is so much detail and unique assets everywhere around you and it works very smooth at the same time. The length is also very nice. And the scenarios are varied and are a nice mix of high speed travel and yielding at red signals. The only downside I could spot was some over-optimized (low-res) textures on some mountain sides during the "green" seasons, but they disappear if you drive during the winter. It's without a doubt the best route I own. For people that can't move the train - check all the types of brakes. You will need to release more than one to get going.

The route looks beautiful but it lags in built-up areas and has lag spikes when loading in new scenery to the point of being unplayable. Also the BR111 has no dedicated tutorial, this locomotive will randomly just decide to not accelerate when you apply power. I've never had this issue with any other EMU locomotive and I can't find any tutorial in-game to assist with these issues.

The DLC is ok, but the FPS Drops in each city ruins the immersion and the driving pleasure. Like always...

The best third party route I have ever driven! Way better than the german routes made by DTG. Especially those overhead lines and catenaries. Finally someone replicated it properly! The highly detailed track work is also top-notch! The hand made curves are also better than I expected! Especially when you approach it. It might be a bit short but it worth the £24.99 price tag. But if you still feel like its a short route then you can buy this and the extension both for £29.98!

Fantastic well crafted route, purchased along with the Hausach extension so you actually end up with two versions installed - the basic Konstanz to Villigen and Konstanz through to Hausach. The supplied motive power isn't bad too, although not usually a big fan of modern stuff the 189 electric loco sounds and handles well. Any negatives - well the extended version only comes with five scenarios one of which could not be completed right at the end due to a signalling lock up. This is an inherent issue with TSC compared to TSW with its all day timetable and something DTG need to look at if they see TSC as having a long term future. When you load a saved game the signalling is initially defaulted to "stop" and can take a few seconds to initialise so don't save approaching a signal to avoid a SPAD risk. However IMHO this is probably the best German route in TSC if not the best in the whole game. Purchase thoroughly recommended.

This route is fantastic, the detailing is incredible! Interesting grades keep you on your toes, but mainly just relaxing. The included scenarios are quite good, lots of traffic and realistic situations. This route really conveys the flavor of this lovely corner of Germany. The other reviewer's concern with the BR189 with the funky PZB is something that has to be worked around, but otherwise simple driving locomotives with realistic physics. Hopefully there wil be a scenario pack at some point using some of the appropriate (maybe legacy?) higher-end trains available.

A very nice route by Virtual Raillroads the Konstanz - Villingen was recommended to me during the recent sale and it's certainly worth getting as it doesn't have the usual problems that appear in the ones made by DTG. The route is about 90km with changing grades and speeds as you make your way through meadows and mountains. Several yards are along the route providing runs of both freight and passenger with little trouble. Signals are a mix of coloured lights and older semaphore/disc signals giving a nice old meets new vibe of the route. Two loco's and a DVT are included. First is the BR189 which has no working PZB and Sifa but a basic safety system just like the one in Mosel Valley. The BR111 and DVT both have working PZB and Sifa making them ideal for beginners looking for something more realistic to operate. For freight there's a nice selection of wagons to choose from so you'll bound to find something you like as you go through the six Career scenarios that are included. Any downsides? A couple with the only one being that scenario 4 will give Driver Penalties on corners so you can kiss that score goodbye. The lenses for the semaphore and disc signals don't seem to light up so there's a chance you can get caught out by adverse aspects. Despite that I'd still highly recommend this route to newer or seasoned players and if German content is you're thing then you can also get this route in a bundle that comes with an extension. Waiting for a sale or not is up to you.

I didn't plan on buying any more German routes as I already had quite a few, but friends said this was the best German route, so I bought it. After doing some Quick Drives, I do understand why my friends recommended me this route. It's a well executed route, quality similar to Berlin-Leipzig. Landscape offers a lot of variety, with plenty of stations along the way. Parts of the route are rather flat or slightly hilly, other parts are reasonably mountainous (although nothing too crazy). I think the route can be best compared to Koblenz-Trier in setup and landscape. Mountainous sections are roughly 70-90km/h, while the flat sections around roughtly 120-160km/h. The included BR111 and BR146 are basic in operation and features, but the sounds are pretty awesome and combined with the slow acceleration they locos feel authentic. Quick Drive takes 1 hour end-to-end non-stop, or close to 2 hours if you stop at all the stations along the route. Only downside is that Quick Drive has very little AI, and you would only meet a few AI trains during the run.
