Wow! I really love this dlc, very nice roads and scenery... during the winter is awesome! However some little bugs are still present.

Fernbus is a good game, but this DLC is kind of a let-down. The whole southern part of Switzerland is left out, which is a shame because that is where the mountain roads and many mountain passes are.

This DLC adds a small map with less cities than the France DLC. I got it on a discount (otherwise I would have bought France instead). But I still recommend this DLC (maybe with a little discount) because the cities are beautiful, unique and very different than Germany (not a copy & paste work) with many new and unique assets. The cities look old and historic, in contrast to those modern cities in Germany. If you like old and historic cities, this DLC is for you.
However, I was only talking about the cities, not the motorways or highways, because outside the cities it's not much different, just more trees and roads with huge snowy mountains on the background. It's the cities that shine.

The map is nicely detailed tho the cities could be more dense, plus Bern looks like its just a bus stop in the middle of a forest, I was in Bern and I remeber it differently
I like the base game so I bought this, but it needs a bit more work, I only recommend it to those who enjoy the base game and don't mind the rather steep prices of the DLCs

Tried to revitalize my waned interest in this game by getting this DLC on sale, but it still falls short. As expected, it's a very pretty map extension, with stunning views, which DOES look and feel somewhat different than the stock Germany map, and adds some interest to driving.
But...
The underlying problems with the game mechanics still remain the same. The bus physics, while somewhat improved, are still not up to snuff with the title of "simulator", the gearboxes are rubbish - even basic things like kickdown are still not simulated, not to mention having the actual different driving modes of a robotic gearbox or a manual mode... You're going up a slope, slowing down to a crawl, pedal floored all the way, and the gearbox just remains in high gear until it drops to 1000 rpm - and you don't even have the ability to drop a gear yourself.
Also, all this time after release, the map is still full of bugs, trash bins are constantly flying around in the air, making weird somersaults when you drive next to them and hitting your bus, AI traffic often forms huge gridlocks and cuts you off or crashes into the side of you at roundabouts.
And most of all, concerning this map addon specifically, the most exciting and scenic roads lead to nowhere and have no stops on them, making them effectively useless in-game. Why not add a few roadside stops on the more scenic routes through the alps, so that we can plan routes that go through them? Why make all the time and effort in modeling these roads if the trip planner never routes you through them and the only way to drive over these roads is by basically overriding the GPS and taking wrong turns on purpose? Why not make them an actual part of the game? That kind of thinking is beyond my comprehension, really.
At the regular price I can't recommend this addon. If it's discounted by a third or more, then a case can be made for getting it.

I have never seen a dlc with this kind of horrible quality and completely unfinished...
-Swiss Cities are reduced to a few houses
-Zurich is a complete insult to the real city
-You can encounter five different roadnumbers in different colors in 250m
-The south part of switzerland is just completely missing
-They tried making the swiss freeway signs green by just recoloring the blue ones, so there are now green signs that shouldnt be there, blue signs that shouldnt be there, yellow signs that dont eve exist in switzerland and then the occasional white sign in places where it shouldnt be
-Signs lead to completely wrong directions
-There are signds still with devnotes, spacefillers or just with a Null in them
-There are signs leading to italian cities on a road that just goes from the freeway to Innsbruck
-The roadnumbers are completely wrong, with the number changing upüto four times between two exits.
-The Freewaycross on the A2/A1 is bigger than every city in the entire dlc
-The A1 goes on a wierd mountain trail where in reallife is the flattest area of the country.
-There is a road which says it goes to Lausanne and Geneva, which in reallife already isnt like that and ingame it just goes into france and through the other side of the lake.
-A lot of signed cities which arent even in the game like Lausanne and Vaduz
-And so much more
A plus is that the environment is very beautiful

The lansdcapes what this DLC adds to the main game are awesome. If you liked how Germany looked like, then you will love this Austria and Switzerland. It is a must have for any Fernbus Simulator fan and it is worth the price when in sale for any casual coach driving player.

Well, by Switerland this DLC is more oriented direction "Panoramic Routes" in place of the more daily used traffic routes and highways, and of course, that touch also the fictional.
Yellow road signs in Switzerland? Worst of all is this fictional Zurich-Bern with this mountain pass. A very, very bad idea. Avoid an accident there with this suicide trucks taking this turns a full speed, is a miracle.
Actually from Zurich to Bern is a direct modern highway, nothing of mountain passes. In reality is quite obvious, simple and practical: the highway began in the Austrain border, direction Zurich, with a exit after this city to the south for Lucern, then the Ticino after the Gottand tunnel and finally the Italian border. The main continued after Zurich with other exit to the NW direction Basel and the German and France borders. Then, the main continued direction SW to Bern, then follow to Friboug, Laussane and the big Lake Leman and the last sector until Geneva and the French border. Certainly the real Flix buses use daily this route. That was possible to make the practical and real version(and maybe more easy), but TML take the choice of the "Panoramic version" Maybe, some counted special tours make this Panoramic circuits, by the Furka, Sussen, Gotthard, Sant Bernhard pass, etc
Despite this, the DLC is quite nice and interesant with a fine atmosphere, I have also noted a small slight better FPS in some sectors, Mountains backgrounds are mixed, some are good, others really ugly. The rendition of the Cities is also mixed, but, however, far of the level of fidelity with the last Switzerland update by Eurotruck.
Anyway, recomended.

I am heavily impressed by this DLC! If you're bored with German highways and would like more eye candy stuff - just get it and you won't regret!
I've been travelling in and around Innsbruck and the change of quality is visible at first glance. The downside of this is that now Germany really needs some reworks here and there to keep up with this DLC quality, nevertheless I did not expect such succesful release.
Some say it's pricey, probably depends on fx rate, yet I think it's a necessary addition to vanilla to make the in-sim world look more realistic. Also, as prep for this DLC, TML released a patch with couple of bugfixes - kudos for that!
Performance of DLC is really fantastic. No FPS drops, running it with i5 3570K @4,5 GHz and GTX 970 from EVGA. All in all - supersatisfied.
Now back to driving my Setra on Austrian highways!
