A fantastic follow up to an already fantastic route. The stars of the addon are the two locomotives. The gas-mechanical locomotive is very well done. I have actually run a similar locomotive and it handles exactly as I expected. The gearbox and clutch is fully functional, as is the hand crank to re-start the motor when you stall out! It's spot-on. The little battery mine loco is a very nice model too. The developers modeled all 4 controls the prototype has, these being the reverser, throttle, handbrake, and light switch. The package also includes a few new wagons, all of which look great. The included scenarios are good, offering a bit of a challenge as you shunt wagons around and move materials around for the upkeep of the railway. I highly recommend this pack, and the base route too. Both are high quality and very affordable. Well done Skyhook!

What a good job on this one, the simplex is perfect, the sound , the way the loco handles, everything feels just right and trust me ive driven simplex diesels. the clayton is alright too can't comment on that one too much as i have no experiece with them, but a solid expansion nether the less.

The No. 5 locomotive is unlike any other in TS. It is, for all purposes, a stick-shift locomotive. On the steep slopes and sudden grade changes of Corris, it's a blast to drive. It's tied with No. 7 for my all time favorite locomotive in TS. On No. 5 alone, I would recommend the pack!
No. 9 is a solid loco, nothing against it, nothing special. It's no 3B from Return to Maerdy, but it is serviceable.

First person is a nightmare, i cant find any of the scenarios. when its first installed a prompt pops up asking if you want to play the new content. When you click yes it takes you to quick drive.....

I have to say, I haven't had this much fun with any other expansion pack, even including the RhB packs and those come really close, ever.
How to make even more with a route of very little length?
Right! Give the people two really really simple, yet challenging engines.
Usually stalling your engine is not very much fun, but stalling that little Simplex feels quite addictive.
When you think about it, it makes perfectly good sense. Stall the engine of your car in real life and you'll get horns blasting behind you. Stall this little engine and, oh wait, there is no traffic behind you to care about.
Now for the battery operated mining engine, I never thought I needed more controls. Well, maybe they could add the engineer blowing a whistle like on the gravity train, but that's about it.
Even at full price, which I got it for since I couldn't wait for it to go on the next sale, I just had to have it, it's worth every penny in my book.

A must have if you already have the Corris pack. On sale, it's 4 bucks, you can't got wrong! Sure, there's not a whole lot to actually operating the two locomotives included here, but it adds great variety to the Corris railway.

I have been waiting for this pack since it was anouced (a bit more than a year I beleive) and it blew my expectations out of the water. This pack brings an electric and an early gas mechanical locomotive to the Corris Railway, and adds much needed variation to the route. Although the electric is nothing amazing (these locomotives are simple in nature and the simulation is done great none the less) the gas mechanical is where this pack shines. This little engine is insanely detailed, and brings a new type of challenge to train sim. The addition of a clutch and gear system makes this engine a fun challenge (more challenging than most steam locomotives in this game) and learning this system will take alot of trial and error. If you are into the types of equipment in this DLC, or just want some high quality content for the allready great Corris route, then you should pick this up, and at $10.99 US dollars, its a steal.

I'm willing to argue that you would find engines of lower quality in higher priced dlc's.
The engines, and wagons in this pack have a short learning curve, and are fun to drive.
another bonus of this dlc are these locomotives being some of the narrowist in the game allowing you to simulate industrial shunting, and underground mining. heres some screen shots showing you a test i made with them in these conditions.

These engines are powerful, and can climb steep industrial inclines without stalling. but the engines are not overpowered, and you must show skill when hauling a heavy train; even just a few coal skips can overwhelm the engine breaking, and cause a run away train. it's best you handel downwards movement slowly, and you can even try throwing the engine in reverse for better control of speed.
My only cons to all these pros is me being unable to turn on the front light of the yellow battery locomotive even though thats more of a nickpick then con (update: i got the light working. so these engines are basically perfect).
however if you ever needed small engines with can do spirt this pack is a must have, and for $10.99 you have nothing to lose.
