Fun little motor to run. Only complaint would be the bell doesn't work (If these even have bells, i'm not sure). Quality is great and they fit in will with all the other NJT content.

Definitely a great add-on if you're a big collector of NEC rolling stock. The side doors and windows do open and you can get a central view (other than the traditional right and left side view). The major problem I want to point out which unfortunately led me to not recommending this is the career scenarios... They're just not driveable. I can't even go even 20 miles under the limit with no stress on the brakes/throttle without getting a driving quality reduction for no entire reason for the vast majority of the session. This in particular happens most on the legacy 'Northeast Corridor' route. It's basically impossible to get a perfect score (yet I don't know how other people do it and still make it on time to every station is beyond me). Personally I've never been fond of the drive quality penalty. I would propose you'd either remove/fix that feature to begin with, and/or fix this specific DLC since I'm having most problems with this one with it. Otherwise I'm keeping my review as-is. It's not fair to me and takes away the realism from the career scenario.

The physics: Awful, the acceleration and deceleration is quicker than a bullet Sounds: Better than most TSC DLC, but not the best Everything Else: Good, not great, but good Overall: (6.5/10), but would be (8.5/10) if the physics were better Would definitely recommend if you can get a physics and/or sounds patch

The Arrow III is a fun and easy alternative to the other power on North American locomotives. The throttle and brakes are reminiscent of European and Japanese electric power. It is a must for NEC fans.

First review I've written for anything on steam in the 4years I've been on. I totally love this DLC. I'm not totally familiar with the bells and whistles, literally, but it sounds pretty authentic. Personally, my ONLY con about this, is that the passenger views aren't situated by the window seats. At least one side would have been okay, though I would have prefer it on both. But this is totally worth the retail, and even better steal as a twin-pack. Highly recommended!

The train itself has great detail, but from my experience suffers from a lack of proper beta testing. The In-Cab speed display does not show any sort of speed restrictions, making playing any scenerio with them, or any case where you have to follow signal speed almost impossible. The scenerios also lack testing, I was unable to complete The Long Shot without getting suprise speed limit changes. These are things that should be picked up before release. The train itself is very well detailed otherwise, but these small things really bring down the overall experience, and I hope DTG investigates and fixes these bugs. Update: I've submitted a ticket back on 4/30 and have had no response from DTG yet about these issues.

a very good train.the drivers doors open but train does not operate whilst open, safety feature im guessing.the throttle also engages the forward/reverser.above the drivers head in cab is cab ligt and step light.the train sounds awsome with the motors pitch going up as you throttle.the brakes work well you can come into the station a little hotter.no bell.opening the drivers window all the way means it cant be closed again.if you like passenger trains wherever you like to drive then get this.bring on the workshop authors.i want more.just found out these guys dont have a bell.

In my opinion, this is the best North American train avalible right now. I've ridden one of these, and the sounds are spot on! so are the braking physics and the passenger view. The only thing I dislike is that the middle pair of doors open at every stop, even at low platforms. So in conclusion, 10/10 Statement: Just get it, this is actually worth the full price for once

Have to rework scenario Holiday Arrow to end at Hoboken. Arrow lll trains cannot transfer from the Morristown Line to the NEC to Ny Penn without a transformer change due to the different voltages. All Arrow lll's end at Hoboken on Morristown Line. The ones on the NEC have different transformer voltages. I still like the model although I will find other errors.

ACSES needs to be worked on. The speed shows how its supposed to but when it wants your to slow down the red overlaps the green with the red going all the way to zero so you don't know what speed you should be at. Also the time between the first alarm and the emergency application needs to be lengethend so that the driver can respond appropriately. This needs to be fixed ASAP as ACSES is essential on any NY/NJ routes One other thing is that the passenger doors on the lead carriage wont open.
