I have a new favourite American route. This route is awesome. Just like North Jersey Coast Line, the Morristown Line focuses on commuter traffic, with a lot of stations to stop at along the way. But unlike the Coast Line, the Morristown Line is not flat and straight, it's hilly and bendy. With speed limits around 60mph, this route is certainly not as slow paced as some other American routes. The Morristown Line offers a driving experience similar to most European routes.

Very good line indeed. When I first run it I had low FPS at 10 about on a high end PC. After I disabled the dynamic light and clouds the FPS went up to 75 FPS, so if anyone have this problem just disable the above and then all will be good. Running as smooth as I can’t believe. Highly recommend this line.

*this route comes in a bundle with the arrow iii, so I picked it up. *I've never ridden the morristown line, so i don't know if it's accurate. /The sounds on the locomotives are recycled, but the physics are improved. +The route isn't linear, so extra points for that. +comes with a wide variety of stock, extra point for that aswell. -noticing at lot more detail on the morristown line rather than the NJCL. -FPS are bad on my higher end PC +Noticing some nice details on the trains My opinion on this route, 7/10 +1 for network +1 for variety -1 for more detail on one line -1 for FPS +1 for detail Total: 8/10. Statement: Get this route if it's under 20.00, which it is at the time of this review.

This is well worth the 10 bucks on sale, in my honest opinion. You get the ALP locomotive pack and the core North Jersey Coast route along with the extension. There is no reason to buy the other two DLC packs when you can buy this one for the same price and get the other two included. Overall, it looks pretty decent and the rolling stock is alright. The sounds are old, and the lack of function in the cab car's cab view is pitiful, but otherwise the rolling stock is really decent. The route is well detailed for the most part, though some places needed better distant detail. Overall, worth the 10 bucks. 25 bucks full price, eh maybe. If you enjoy commuter rail, then you will probably enjoy this one for full price as well. It IS technically three DLC built into one pack.

The route is good but warning: there are some fake speed limits and speed limits without warning

Finally my home town route. Not perfect but not bad. On the turns train sounds like its breaking. Madison station is one of the nicest stations in all of NJT not completly finished also needed to add more autos to the parking areas. All in all a very nice route woulds also like to see the Gladstone branch as an add on in the future.

Growning up in North Jersey, these NJT routes were a way of life. The M&E was always one of my favorites of the ex-Erie Lackawanna (nee-DL&W). I wasn't sure when DTG said they were making this route an add-on to the NJCL route. Because the NJCL (ex-NY&LB) is a route I railfan often in the past and today. And I think (IMO) it was a so-so execution when released. I was afraid for the same results. But they did a pretty good job with the Morristown Line here. A few flaws I think are kind of major from an esthetic point like the "Stickle Bridge" for I-280 crossing the Passaic River next to the NJT Newark draw. It isn't there ! That is a major blooper to me & I bet for many people who know this route well. But I can overlook it. Maybe they can include it in a future update. But the ex-DLW style stations at Broad Street, South Orange, Brick Church, Morristown, Madison, Denville & others are nicely represented. The Arrow III's add-on for this route are fun to run. The Arrows have been a staple out of Hoboken since the switch from 3,000 volt DC system to a 25 Kv 60 Hz AC system back in 1984. They run bumpy like the prototype which makes them fun and realistic. But are hell to run on the stand-alone NEC because the trackwork is so bad. But running them here and on the NJCL, loads of fun. Too bad for the modern era theme because it would be fun to run the ex-DLW "Wickerliners" (Or Edison Cars, however you perfer to call them) MU's on the route. It would bring a bit of history & fun. Another downside which I thought DTG would include were the Gladstone Branch & Montclair Branch. Really does seem odd they left these two off this addon being such an important of the Hoboken Electric Division. But overall, a very fun route to run that can give you hours of enjoyment.

As a west coaster who knows nothing of NJT operations, I found the Morristown Line way more enjoyable then the Jersey Coastline. Very Scenic, with a twisting mainline that keeps you on your toes watching your speed. Would recommend for those who like their commuter runs with a bit more difficulty.

So far, not good. In quick drive mode, the A1 traffic on the northeast corridor portion is standing still on the track. This obstruction has me held at Kearney Jct interlocking indefinately. The quick drive mode should flow better without red signals stopping you from proper movement. Plus when buying the bundle, though I already own the North Jersey Coast Line; They made me repurchase the same line with a Morristown line add on. Not cool.

Awesome is the only words i can say, its just stunning. It comes with almost all of the NJ Transit content in Railworks and has different kinds of scenery from the big city, to hills and lakes. I would recommend this route to a NJ Transit fan! The only con i have is the surprise limit when your heading towards Mount Tabor to Dover.
