i bought this mostly because of its era, but mostly too because it might have been made by someone local to portland. it's a good model with believable weathering and good enough to build a route around.

I hadn't planned on buying any DLC for T:ANE, but I'm glad I changed my mind for this one. I think it might be my absolute favorite locomotive to drive, across all simulators I've played. Let's have a quick rundown: *Nice, detailed cab with lots of positions to sit or stand in. *Scripted details, such as doors and windows being interactable. *The exhaust is beautiful, which spurts out in time with the gutteral chugging of the engine. It diffuses more naturally than most generated exhaust I've seen in Trainz. *The engine sound! What a lovely, lovely sound, probably recorded directly from the real thing. My favorite feature of this DLC. I very much recommend this engine. Note: this old thing appears to still be in service. I visited the Albany yards recently (2017), and saw it idling. I was told that it is the resident switcher for Portland and Western.
