Operation Health, has been a complete and total failure. And my optimism for it's goal has completely vanished after the release of the Walking Dead chapter. The game itself has been plagued with poor balancing decisions, an incredible amount of bugs, poor optimisation, hacking and security related issues, and to top it all off: Lies and ignorance from the developer team itself. I do not think I've ever played a game where the developers are busy working on damage control with their community more so than their actual game. And even then, they are so complacent and out of touch with their community, that they seem to dismiss them on such a regular basis. As a result, the more popular of their content creators have either left their partnerships with BHVR Interactive, or have given up entirely on attempting to communicate with them in order to suggest better features or balancing for the game. Otzdarva and SpookyLoopz just to name two, don't even try anymore, with Otzdarva barely being able to hide his contempt anymore. This latest update has been pushed to live servers 4 months into Operation Health's deployment, and has so far been ironically the most broken and glitchy update this game has possibly seen. It has broken core mechanics, broken audio in common scenarios, introduced a plethora of bugs to the Killer and Survivor side respectively (some of which are extraordinarily exploitable with easy methods), reintroduced bugs from previous patches that were otherwise fixed INCLUDING bugs from the Five Nights at Freddy's chapter's Killer, which were previously hotfixed. So far, Operation Health has only addressed these following issues: -Fixing Killer key item spawns being positioned poorly due to chest spawn priority, such as Sadako TVs, Xenomorph Tunnels, and other important ability related setpieces (Undocumented) -Adjusting Survivor and Killer spawn locations in order for more consistent games (This was a double-edged sword regarding balancing, as opposed to any actual QOL for Killer's current struggles.) -Added a Gamma option, almost 10 years after the game's initial release. -"Go Next" prevention attempts. I'd argue this worked out decently, though people still ragequit on a per match basis. They have failed to address or even attempt to fix any of the following: -Giving Killers any incentive not to Tunnel a single person out repeatedly, let alone any reward for not doing so. -Giving Killers any incentive not to Slug survivors (Leaving them on the ground as opposed to hooking them, y'know, the OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME.) -Adjustments to the balancing of exhaustion or anti-tunnel perks in order to not be so problematic. -Close the gaps of balance between the top tier Killers and the mid to low tier Killers. -Any optimisation to not cause stuttering, freezing, or that weird bug I've had ever since the update to UE5 where it looks like your framerate has halfed, yet your FPS counter never changes. I can only assume this is a server stability issue impacting movement. -Improvements to security and hacker prevention. (I get this is difficult. But considering their refusal to fix IP Vulnerabilities that Hackers can easily get their hands on, it's embarressing on their part.) On top of this, former developers have come out and said their pieces on BHVR's internal attitude. And if their recent livestream showcasing their shutting down of their guests' requests/solutions to their immediate problems proved anything, it's that they legitimately do not care for their community. They do not care for their game. They don't even playtest their own game, due to PTB's gamebreaking bugs that get pushed to live anyway. I could care less about a toxic community, but when the Developers are AS toxic toward their own game's survivability, that's when you know there's a problem. And a small message to BHVR Interactive: How dare you dismiss those attempting to help you and your game's well-being. How dare you lie to us on your attempts to push back content in order to focus on legitimate problems the game has had (which you still haven't DONE yet.) How dare you be lazy with your own licensed chapters to the point where they break the game. And instead of all of what you've promised, you lay off 10% of your own staff, release more paid content during a broken and fundamentally unbalanced phase for the game, and expect us to rattle out coins for content that breaks the game further, all while the game itself is falling apart by your own hands. WE ARE YOUR COMMUNITY. RESPECT YOUR CONTENT CREATORS. YOUR GAME RELIES ON US, AND YOUR LACK OF FOLLOWUP ON YOUR OWN STATEMENTS HAS LOST YOU A CUSTOMER. I'm keeping this review up, and the game uninstalled until the above issues, and priorities of the Developers handling the game's direction are addressed. Because I personally preferred it when the game wasn't completely bugged, and you in turn didn't bug my wallet to snag more money to make more false promises and broken updates. Just because you have a monopoly on the game's genre, doesn't mean your complacency and lack of respect toward the community is tolerable.

This game has the worst developers I have ever seen in a video game. Blatant incompetency at all levels. Most recently, they have refused to use their readily available killswitch to disable a bugged passive ability that completely destroys any semblance of balance this game has.

The developers have biblical levels of greed and hubris, and it seems to continue on this path. If you dont have the game, keep it that way. If you already bought it, i recommend avoiding spending any more money on this as much as possible. Your money is your vote, the skins can wait until they decide to do their jobs. Refusing to trust your biggest content creator to fix a promotional stream that could have been a really fun event for everyone just shows how much the dev team wants to die on this hill. The apology was made only after the community erupted in flames. I wish there was a lack of labor award to give to these people.

If the bugs that break the game aren't worth killswitching because it's not hurting the one side you like, then the game ain't worth playing

This game has done unspeakable things to my mental health and expected lifespan. But it satiates my gambling addiction, and my wife finally left when in a state of soloq induced psychosis, I kicked our toddler (he is working with the entity and that French sister of his) Finally I am alone, and can play Ghoul without being asked if I even have any skill to show for the time I've put into this game. Thank you BHVR for freeing me from the chains of responsibility. PS please release more Sable bikinis.

After the Chandler Riggs stream the devs have ousted themselves as an absolute cluster cluck of a team. Absolutely double, triple downed on their own arrogance that ultimately prevented a proven workaround to a game-breaking DDOS issue with the game. This is only the cherry on top of a looooooooooooonnng history of absolute foolishness from this company. Save yourself from this game, absolutely not worth it. P.S. Devs if you're reading this you'll NEVER get labor of love

The newest update that came with the walking dead DLC is an absolute joke. Here is a few bugs i've encountered: - smoke bombs completely break chase so you wont get bloodlust or if you have an active reverse bear trap the pig can "chase" you without the timer stopping -killers have broken animations such as spirit -some perks are bugged to the point that they allow you to do game breaking things -desync issues where survivors appear to teleport few meters when stopping repairing a gen for example -one thing as simple as a texture floating in the loading screen (how on earth did this go unnoticed on QA testing) -voice acting for new characters is broken, injured sounds are not performed by same actors (unclear if this is intentional) This update should've been delayed, like how do you approve launching a broken update for a prolific game like dbd Very embarrassing look for the company and the game.

This game. This game is like a methed out stripper with the world's most prime example of a 'butter face'. You pop seven honey packs while she tugs at your shirt to bring you behind the building where the prettiest sight is the dumpster with handlebars for her to grab onto. You're thinking to yourself, "Fuck, anything is better than nothing" No. You're wrong. You wake up with a burning, itching nutsack and heroin needles stuck in your arm. I have played Dead by Daylight long enough to know that this is not a game. This is a curse. A loop of anguish disguised as a multiplayer horror experience. If hell had patch notes, they’d look exactly like DBD’s. It is a psychological torture chamber duct-taped together with piss, rust, and false hope. It’s the gaming equivalent of someone whispering “trust me” right before pushing you down a flight of stairs, then charging you for cosmetics on the way down. At first glance, it seems harmless. Spooky, even fun. Fix some generators, run from a killer, escape. How hard could it be? That’s how it gets you. Dead by Daylight is a poisoned apple. It looks shiny. Crisp. You take a bite, and before you know it, you’re foaming at the mouth, crawling through a nightmare landscape of camping Bubbas and teammates who couldn’t outsmart a Roomba. That feeling dies faster than a Meg running in a straight line. This game doesn’t play you, it gaslights you. It convinces you that if you just try harder, you’ll enjoy it. That next game will be different. It won’t be. DBD is Sisyphus with a skill check, and the boulder is on fire. The gameplay loop is a hamster wheel from Hell, greased with survivor blood and killer tears. Every match feels like waking up in a Saw trap where the only way to escape is to play the same four maps against the same four meta perks while being chased by the same three killers who play like it’s a job and you're the unpaid intern. Want to play killer? Hope you enjoy being flashlight-blinded by a SWF squad with comms sharper than a military operation, tea-bagging you at every pallet like you owe them money. Want to play survivor? Get ready to be tunneled like the killer spotted you in a dream once and took it personally. You'll spend 80% of the match crouching in a bush, praying your teammates weren’t spawned directly from a YouTube comment section. The matchmaking system was forged in the deepest pits of digital hell. It doesn’t care. You could be new, hopeful, full of light. The Entity does not care. It will match you with a Prestige 100 Blight main who treats your existence like a personal offense. This game is a slot machine designed by a drunk Cenobite. Everything is RNG. Spawns? RNG. Skill checks? RNG. Killer powers? RNG wrapped in lag. You’ll get hit around corners, downed through pallets, and blamed for it by a game engine held together with bubble gum and trauma. Playing Dead by Daylight is like being stuck in an elevator playing clown music while someone slaps you every 30 seconds and occasionally throws bloodpoints at your face as a reward. And you’ll thank them. You’ll thank them because you’ve been conditioned to think this is normal. It is not normal. This game is an abusive loop of dopamine spikes and absolute despair. It’s like getting back together with an ex because they said they’ve changed — and they have. They’ve gotten worse. And they brought friends. Named “Deadlock” and “Pain Resonance.” You don’t play DBD because it’s fun. You play it because it’s personal now. You’re in too deep. The grind has you. Your brain is mush. You’ve screamed at the screen more than you’ve spoken to your friends. You ARE the Wraith now. And yet you queue up again. Because maybe this time it’ll be different. It won’t be. It never is. Dead by Daylight is a haunted casino where the only thing you gamble is your sanity. Edit 8/14/25: >> see update dropped >> patches >> look inside >> no clown nerf >> boot up survivor game >> clown runs across map >> throwing potions of straight coke laced with mexican black tar heroin. >> reaches me in .005±.010 seconds >> proxy camps while teammates hide in lockers >> reach end game chat >> "gg ez"
