This looks as if someone with very low skills made this. For $20 you would expect better quality and the caboose with the guys with black eyes is freaky. I would not recommend this at all.

Its a pack filled with Cute lil locos, don't expect them to climb the grades of clear creek however.
the only thing that really bothers me is the lanterns look like they are made of jelly and not glass.

after a long time of having this add-on, I would like to write an honest review. having 3 new locomotives is very good indeed for a route that originally includes just one. but quality wise, I have to say it isn't up to par unfortunately. the textures are not very good. the meshes are not very good. the sounds are awful, infact, I avoid using this addon just because of the awful sounds the tiny things make. the knuckle couplers do not match with original rolling stock for the clear creek railway, so they are basically incompatible, and I have had issues causing crashing with this addon if you have too many asset packs enabled (mostly my fault to be fair) but having actual working loaders and unloaders for cargo in train simulator is a rarity now a days so I must give credit where due

Oh where to begin...
I am recommending this add-on for only the most die-hard of narrow gauge railroading fans. Anyone looking for a realistic railsim experience will be sorely disappointed.
Some major issues are as follows:
-Locomotive audio comes from 5 feet infront of every engine for some reason???
-Terrible TERRIBLE physics, I have to drive these engines on very low power with all the consist handbrakes on just to nerf the insane acceleration and power these engines have for some reason.
-Outdated models that look the part from a far but on inspection are sorely lacking.
All that said however, there is nothing else like this in Train Simulator, and I commend the developers if for nothing else, for representing this era of logging motive power. Theres also some great assets for route building, and some very nice looking logging rolling stock to pull. Its hard to deny the attractiveness of diminutive engines like these!
My recommendation for the devs (who should message me if they read this and I'll provide the full list of ways to improve these engines) Is to update the pack to fix two glaring issues, which should be rather simple to amend:
1. Place the audio source for each engine in the correct location, so that it doesn't sound as if there's a ghost engine 5 ft in front of the actual one
2. Tweak the physics so that acceleration is harder, friction effects the engines more, pulling power reduced with heavy loads (no amount of weight will slow this engine down)
TLDR, if you love mining and logging engines, its worth picking this up on sale. I will certainly get 10 bucks of fun out of route building and playing with these little guys.

I like the pack overall, but the Loco sounds are terrible at best and unbearable at worst. Some ok scenarios and rolling stock, but looks more like it belongs in MSTS than TS19. All in all, get it on sale, not worth the full price. Really feel that a little more work could have made this an outstanding pack. Absolutely needs an update before being worth the $20 price tag. Sorry, but not recommended.

Intriguing and alot of fun to play...but make sure you are wearing an overcoat...the weaher is chilling and motivating.! The hills are impossible. Try to take one car at a time and be thankful you can do that.snownball fight behind the barn.!!!!

Just, no. On sale, maybe pick it up for the freight cars, but the locomotives such. Just get Machine Rail's porter pack instead. Its cheaper and way better quality. The freight cars in this pack are not horrible, but the locos have horrible sounds and look like they were ported in from MSTS.

Clear creek narrow gauge is a fantastic piece of DLC, but this really doesn't add anything. the sounds are just dreadful, its almost impossible to play. the new features would be nice, if everything else wasn't so broken. its like they accidentally uploaded dev version 1 of the DLC to steam, not final version 47, and no-one at DTG decided to check!
Conclusion. do not get this. by all means, get clear creek, its fantastic, but this. avoid!

I really do like this pack. It's got tons of versitility, with the little Porters being suited to shunting depots like Idaho Springs, Black Hawk and even Golden Depot. For the money, it's certainly worth it and then some.
The only problem I see is the whistle sounds muddled and skips when you hold the space bar for a long blast.
Other than that-with the interactive logging and lumber cars, three locos, Boatloads of Quick Drive consists, versitility of the engines for other scenarios, and even use as background engines and consists, it's certainly got me sold and then some. The career scenarios are a blast, especially getting used to the added in features and other touches, like animated water in the tanks and the animation for loading the sand boxes. Overall, I highly recommend this pack.
The Clear Creek Logging Expansion Pack
PROS:
*The Mine and some of the wagons look decent.
Cons
*Awful, Awful Sounds
*Awful, Awful Models
*The Mogul has no bell, yet there is a control for it in the cab??????????
*They seem to weigh nothing and can rocket off with loads of wagons the same as light engine
*Get over 10 mph and the porter sounds like it having a heart attack
*Yet, not strong enough to get up the hills
This may be the "Attack of the clones" of train sim DLC. Has one cool moment but the rest flops flat on its face.
1/10 :(
(NOTE: i didnt get this for free, i may have been nicer if it was)
