Great scenarios, much better than provided with the route. You'll have to buy the WP GP20 to access all the scenarios, but what a nice engine it is. These scenarios are the making of this route. The developer High Iron Simulations has done us proud with this release, I whole heartedly recommend it as I do pack 02 for the same route.

10 good scenarios. Only little problem I ran into was the GP20 not responding to the usual keybinds to control the dynamic brake. Had to use the F4 interface and mouse to control the dynamic brake. I suspect it's a bug in the GP20, but I guess it would've been better for the scenario pack creator not to include a scenario with the GP20 going downhill.

This pack is a good deal. All the scenarios have worked properly and let you drive a variety of equipment, from the early 70s era to the UP era. The caveat being that you need Sherman Hill and the Western Pacific GP20, in addition to the Feather River Canyon route.

Not over-pleased with what looks to me to be an unwinnable scenario - Having set off on time, accelerate as soon as clear of Oroville, and with loco on notch 8 all the way up the hill, end up 5 minutes late at the end of scenario. That gets you about -4000 points for "timeliness" failing. This particualr scenario is rated 3/5 difficulty, so souhldn't be that hard to at least geta few points from it. The issue is that the train needs at least 1 more loco - the line limit is 45 'most all the way up but there's only power enough to do about 26mph, so it's invetiable that you're late at the various waypoints and accumulate a massive negative score. Yet to try any other scenarios. It's to be hoped some are actually achieveable. The other issue is how much (quite pricey) content you have to buy in order to actually get the benefit of this pack although that is clearly stated. That's an issue overall with "TS2017" though, far too much DLC, far too expensive. Once again, I want a rating not a yes/no. Take note, Steam! This is a nice add-on IF you already have the route add-ons, if you don't it's expensive. I don't really want to give it thumbs down, but I can't honestly recommend it 100% either which is my only other option.
