In my humble opinion, the best diesel-electric locomotive in the game! Granted, the braking took a bit to get used to. And I do wish the engine sounds were a bit louder. Still a solid 10/10 in my book!

Although I have marked this as RECOMMENDED, I must stipulate that this is ONLY if you also buy the Armstrong Powerhouse enhancement pack for it too. Without the enhancement pack, well, the model is ok and the texturing and cab pretty good. But that's where it stops. Sounds are awful and the physics are way off. With the AP Enhancement Pack it's a beautiful train to drive and one of my favourites. Many features are added and the sound is sublime. So only buy this if you can also afford / are willing to buy the AP Enhancement Pack for it too.

The model is pretty good, but that's where it stops. Braking with this engine is a pain, as it takes forever to stop, and makes it hard to get on time to the different stations. Acceleration is also pretty bad, making things harder. The first scenario is next to impossible to achieve, unless you spend 5 or 6 hours trying and finding all types of tricks to gain 1 more second between the second and the third stop in that scenario (and that's why I'm leaving a bad review, really. The first scenario was so frustrating to complete that it left a bad impression of the overall add-on on me). Apart from the first scenario, the two other scenarios included work fine. All the achievements can be obtained (even the "Scotrail Saviour" one, but it'll require you lots of determination).

Don't get me wrong, this is an excellent addition to your collection. But I'm rating it down for one reason, and that is that you get this with the Fife Circle DLC, but for some reason the AP Enhancement Pack is NOT compatible with it? So I had to shell out an additional £10 to get this just to get that working. Maybe it's on me for not reading the requirements correctly, but I just assumed the AP Enhancement Pack would cover from the 68 included in the Fife Circle addon :/

this loco is one of those locos which has good modelling ok sounds and physics and an small of features however there is always something wrong with DTG locos and this one is no exception the PDL brake is scripted terribly its almost like DTG have forgotten what an PBL brake actually does they did it on the 66 and 67 so why is this loco different oh foreshadowing the class 60 from DTG has an even worse PBL brake. The only way to fix it is with the AP Enhancement Pack which i find is unacceptable need i remind this loco comes with ONE livery which only 2 Class 68 Locos wore most of the class 68s where the DRS livery and I dont why that is missing from this and also the MK2 coaches from this pack are terrible and don't even look like MK2 coaches. 68s currently wear DRS TPE and chiltern railways livery so where are those and would give the community more options to pick when making scenario instead of downloading reskins

Decent train! High quality textures and really well made sounds and model. BUT: If you want this train, get the Fife Circle line, it comes with the 158, 170 and LNER A4 too. The scenarios that come with this aren't well made (trains have wrong fleet numbers), and were used on a line that the 68's didn't operate on. I believe you need this DLC for the Chiltren Main Line, but if you are here for Scotrail, then get the Fife Circle. Would've been nice to have more liveries, though!

It appears that I am one of a very small band of people who drive the Class 68. It is an enjoyable engine to drive. However there is a big BUT! The braking system is complex and the instructions in the manual are poor. So, it has been trial and error to master the three different breaking systems. The instructions recommend that you use the keyboard strokes and this creates another really BIG problem. Applying the air breaks very easily leads to the emergency breaks being applied. There is supposed to be a delay of 3 seconds but there is not. Worse, it seems to be completely random whether the air-breaks or the emergency breaks come on. So I am averaging about 10 applications of emergency breaks per journey! I drive this train by using long-distance breaking with the Dynamic breaks (again little explanation on these) so if the air- break application leads automatically to the emergency breaks being applied, then it is not too bad. Until the breaking system is revised along with some decent instructions I cannot recommend anyone buying the Class 68. Which is a pity.

This loco has to be one of DTG best made DLC's ever! It sounds accurate and operates as it should. Really worth the full price as there's no complaints. One bug, the second tone of the horn can be mute sometimes I load this loco.

Ok, to start, I can say the train is decent, to say the least, but it currently serves little purpose, which i'll state why later. The Class 68's runs pretty well, although I do think the sounds are a little too quiet on the engine. As for the MK2e coaches, the coach numbers are COMPLETELY wrong (I've edited my number files to change them), and if i'm not mistaken Abellio Scotrail only use the TSO's and BSO's (based off of their current formations) Now, the reason why this serves little purpose is the route DTG decided to include this for pretty much only lets the 68 properly run between Haymarket and Edinburgh, since they're used on the Peak Hour Fife Circle services. Other that that, routewise, WCML North is the only other route where they run on (when they run ECS from Motherwell/Mossend to Edinburgh via Carstairs) Overall, I give this a 10/17
