Awful scenarios, with lots of missing signals and other information along the routes. This route has to be used only in Quick Drive Mode.

I don't normally buy German routes but I decided to buy this one because it was on sale and it is honestly not bad. The sounds on the BR 218 and BR 145 are somewhat accurate and the route is not too big or small. However, I recommend this you buy the Hamburg-Hanover route first BEFORE you buy this route as it is a nice and long route with a lot of Train DLC's to go with it but in conclusion, I still recomennd this route.

This is by far the nicest german route for Train Simulator from steam. The scenery is breathtaking. The detail is awesome. Pure awesomeness of german countryside when not in the excellently modelled Hamburg metropolitan area. The only downside of this map are the scenarios provided. Luckily, you can use Quick drive or download scenarios from workshop :) I am planning to create some scenarios for this route because I have fallen in love with it :D BR 218 is not so good, but you can use another rolling stock.

An enjoyable, quite varied, high quality route. Have lots of hours on this one. There is a merge available in the Workshop, that merges this route with the routes Hamburg-Hanover and Norddeutschbahn: Lubeck-Kiel, giving one huge Northern German route!

Wish I could refund this DLC. It's an actual piece of software trash. The optimization is horrible. On an i7-9700K it was a stutter fest. Only now that I got a Ryzen5xxx installed, the DLC runs well. The route monitor is faulty. And I can't finish the route Bad Oldesloe-Hamburg because no matter where I park my train at Hamburg central station, the doors won't open. Naturally those lazy programming inceptors never fixed anything. There are so many real well made DLCs for Train Simulator. Get one of those and forget about this rubbish here.

This package has two corrupt career scenarios. Rescue Requirement doesn't respond once you get to mile marker 23. The switch stays locked, not allowing you to pass. The first task in Impartial Martial instructs you to go to the reverse point (Step 1). However, there are no lights warning you to wait for an arriving train. Once you let it pass, you are then supposed to reverse and pick up four cars on track hbt 82. However, they are not on that track.

THIS ROUTE IS INCLUDED IN THE HAMBURG S1 S-BAHN.
Only buy this if you're after the scenarios.
Somehow I think this route is pretty boring and plain, especially the part outside Hamburg. I'm not really too impressed with the rolling stock either. Since it's part of the TS2017 package, which gives a 75% discount, it's worth the price. I wouldn't pay the full price of the original DLC though.

This is not a good route. Bad optimization overall. The speed limits are all over the place and sometimes with no signal whatsoever. I like the rollingstock but the route is not good.

This route is unbelievably bad. Unbelievably.
Signalling is wrong all over and it is so easy to trigger the "drive quality penalty" when braking, that it is not even remotely funny.
The selection of rolling stock is also quite baffling - BR218 is definitely not a typical loco for this route and BR145 (freight loco) is yet again pushed into passenger service... (after playing this, one really starts to miss the venerable BR101 from other routes, which is at least universal loco, suitable both for passenger and freight trains alike). And of course, BR218 and BR145 are in different folders, so they are not 1:1 compatible with their standalone counterparts. Did I also mentioned, that Dosto coaches used in conjunction with BR218 are in fact intended for electrical locos, as they are giving completely false electric readouts (BR218 is diesel-hydraulic design, there is no electric transmission involved).
All in all - there is no reason to buy this (at all), if you are really interested in Hamburg and its railways, you can get the Hamburg S1 and get this included for free (and while S1 has also various issues, it seems to be less prone to the "Drive quality" whatever nonsense).

Signalling and speed limit is incredibly inconsistent, sometimes a speedlimit change will show up on the scollmap, and then disappear as you close in, sometimes passing a speedsign will not affect the effective speedlimit, the sky and cab lighting in the BR218 scenarios are awful, so the ground is dark as if it's night time, but the sky is still bright white as if it's day time, and the cab is almost completely black. If on a 75% sale, it might be worth it, but otherwise it's not incredible.
