Just got this on the summer sale and I love everything about it maybe its been updated.I almost put this one off because of all the bad things said about it,Now I have a low end PC and this route looks amazing to me anyway its one I will be playing more then most other German routes I have.To me its one of the best routes out there and the 423 is very nice, thank you very much.

Like all German addons I've seen so far, this is just bad. Very low level of detail on the scenery, the 423 EMU has horribly wonky physics (way, WAY too high acceleration, for example), the IC carriages don't even have a pax view, sometimes signals are missing lights (though that might be a LOD-related simulator bug, you never know). It's not fun to drive and not even fun to look at. Definitely not up to scratch with international addons around its age.

The only positive thing about this route is that the S-Bahn tunnels look disgusting. Other than that everything else about this route is negative it's one of the worst routes made to date, avoid at all costs!!!

Purchased this route add-on today and I am vary pleased with it. It has vary nice scenery and is a smooth and interesting route to drive down. However, it is vary unforgiving. I was playing the Morning Run scenario on Career and I was travelling at 120 kph when suddenly, and without warning, the track speed dropped to 60 kph. By the time I got my speed quickly down to the track limit I had lost 5000 points. Also I think there is a bit of a bug in this scenario, and possibly others of the default for this route in that if you snap back to the cab after any of the external views, you qet a 15-20 point penalty for speeding, even if you are nowhere need approaching the track speed. Other than that a worthy addition to my route library.

It’s a great route with plenty of features. You got a flat and straight 4-track line from Munich Ost to Grafing, and a curving 2-track line continues to Rosenheim. It combines suburban commuter service and intercity service together. Back to real life, the route is the key link between Germany and Austria, which carries a lot of international traffic. The performance of this route heavily depends on your computer performance, which, you might encounter a lot of buggy speed traps if your computer isn't that great. So think twice if you want to buy this route.

Sudden and frequent speed changes with no markers on all the routes. I even stopped the train in the areas where the speed changes and went extra slow around 10 kph approx 2 km out from where the speed changes happen just to see if there were maybe some signs or something, and there are no indicators whatsoever. No markers showing up on map. Incorrect signals in many areas, most broken mission of all is the 423 Morning Haze (Rosenheim). Even after memorizing where all the "speed traps" are, you get no points or XP at end of mission. Tried multiple times (yes, I was in expert mode) with perfect score of 1000, but at the summary screen it says you score 0 points and you get 0 XP. I do enjoy the DB BR423... but this has to be the buggiest of all the DLCs that I have played so far. I would say get this on sale if you can deal with the bugs and just want to have it to try to complete your Germany collection... definitely not worth the $40 full price until they fix it (but knowing DTG, they won't).

Speed changes randomly all the time. It goes from 80km/h to 40km/h for a second then back to 100km/h and then randomly drops back down to 40km/h for a metre. How the hell are we supposed to complete the career scenarios without spending hours checking speeds and writing a whole guide about it???

The track is unimaginative, bland and will not stafisfy anyone at all, but if you own Rosenheim, Augsburg and Garmisch, then I recommend you to find and subscribe to the combined map that allows you to go to any of the three destinations from all 4 stations. I can only recommend it that way, the 3 way destination of the combine map is ingenious, this is the only reason why I can recommend this map. Otherwise it is a complete rubbish, I do not understand why DTG can not combine the three maps into one to create a better functionality. Stand alone map is rated 5 out of 10. Combined Münich to Rosenheim, Garmisch and Augsburg 10 out of 10.

Short Review in English: - S-Bahn-Tunnel shows some big mistakes, especially as there are too many signals inside and the Marienplatz station is built as single floor (instead of being two separate floors, each for one direction; upper floor to Ostbahnhof, lower floor to Central Station) - max. speed within the Tunnel is regularly 80 kph - PZB and LZB show slight errors, especially if switching from PZB to LZB, PZB remains in function (which it should definitely not) so that passing a pre-signal showing a caution aspect without pressing the "PZB Wachsam" key will lead to an emergency brake But - the track itself (away from the problems with the S-Bahn-Tunnel) seems to be consistent with the reality Review in Deutsch: Im S-Bahn-Tunnel sind einige grobe Fehler enthalten, einerseits wurden viel zu viele (sichtbare) Signale gesetzt, die so definitiv aufgrund der LZB-CIR-ELKE-Ausstattung nicht in Realität vorhanden sind - es scheint fast so, als würden an den LZB-Blockgrenzen hier (sichtbare) Ks-Signale gesetzt worden sein. Andererseits ist die Station Marienplatz völlig realitätsfremd nachgebildet: Während in Realität zwei Bahnsteigebenen existieren (je eine Ebene pro Richtung, oben Ri. Ostbahnhof, unten Ri.

There are tons of unlabeled speed changes in some of the scenarios, which DTG has acknowledged but done absolutely nothing about. Lots of PZB bugs in the scenarios as well. Visually well constructed but the many bugs make it, overall, a poor route
